Britney Spears, who said she felt “embarrassed” by how the media portrays her while reacting to Hulu’s “Framing Britney Spears” documentary, may want to prepare for another round. The 39-year-old pop princess, now the most talked-about celebrity around for her shock reaction to the docu, is set to see her life back under the microscope with a brand-new documentary. Shortly before the weekend, a release date for “The Battle for Britney: Fans, Cash and a Conservatorship” was confirmed. Check it out below.

Spears, who remains under the grip of 68-year-old dad Jamie Spears, will see her father’s financial control picked apart amid other aspects of her life as BBC preps for the docu’s release. Fans will be able to watch on either BBC iPlayer on May 1 or, if in the U.K. or with access to British television channels, via BBC 2 on 9 p.m., Wednesday May 5.
The docu will also feature those close to the “Circus” singer. See who’ll be interviewed below.
The documentary will be featuring Spears’
former choreographer and “The X Factor USA” co-star Brian Friedman, plus make-up artist Billy Brasfield, the star’s lawyer Lisa MacCarley, and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
Britney, recently spotted on a Malibu Country Mart shopping spree and later admitting she wore 27-year-old boyfriend Sam Asghari’s blazer in an attempt to hide, continues to be scrutinized – the latest saw the blonde slammed for merely kissing a cowboy statue on L.A. Streets. See more shots after the cute kiss.
Late March marked Britney breaking her silence on “Framing” as she updated with a home dance video to Aerosmith. A caption spoke candidly, with the Grammy winner telling her 29.4 million Instagram followers:
“I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in,” Spears wrote. “I cried for two weeks and well …. I still cry sometimes!!!!”
Spears added: “My life has always been very speculated …watched … and judged really my whole life !!!” More below.
The mom of two did not hold back, nor was her pain shrouded by the upbeat emoji.
“For my sanity I need to dance to @iamstevent every night of my life ?????? to feel wild and human and alive !!! I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people ??? !!! It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been so judged… insulted… and embarrassed by the media… and I still am till this day ?????? !!!! “
