'Humpty Dance' Rapper Shock G Found Dead In Florida Hotel Room

The man behind the famous 'Humpty Dance' -- rapper Shock G -- has died at the age of 57 after he was found unconscious in a Tampa, Floria hotel room.

The 'Digital Underground' star Shock G is best known for his smash hit record 'Humpty Dance' and fronting the iconic group which at one point featured Tupac Shakur.

Shock G, born Gregory Jacobs, started the popular rap group in Oakland, California, and continued touring over two decades later with the crew.

Members of 'Digital Underground' confirmed the death, but it appears the cause is still being investigated.

“34 years ago almost to the day we had a wild idea we can be a hip hop band and take on the world through it all the dream became a reality and the reality became a nightmare for some,” bandmate Chopmaster J posted on Instagram.

He continued, "And now he awakens from the fame long live shock G Aka Humpty Hump and Rest In Peace my Brotha Greg Jacobs!!!”

According to several reports, the rapper had currently been splitting his time between Tampa, Florida, and Queens, New York.

Shock G's Cause Of Death Is Still Unknown

According to Shock G's father, Edward Racker, the legendary musician was found Thursday in a hotel room in Tampa -- but the family is unclear about what killed the rapper.

The family claims there were "no signs of trauma" and authorities are currently conducting a death investigation and an autopsy.

Fans are flooding social media to pay their respects to the legendary rapper -- and pointing out that the Hip Hop community has lost three of its most popular members including DMX, Black Rob, and now Shock G.
