Kourtney Kardashian celebrated her 42nd birthday this past weekend. The "KUWTK" star couldn't help but indulge in goodies for her big day. Aside from sharing drinks with her family, she also enjoyed a sweet dessert.

Kardashian looked stunning in the pictures that emerged from her birthday celebration. For many, it's hard to believe that Kardashian is in her forties. The star still looks the same as she did when "KUWTK" premiered in 2007. 

Like many celebrities, Kourtney relies on diet and exercise to stay in shape. So what's the secret to maintaining her trim figure?

Kardashian admits that in the past she'd love to splurge when it came to food. The star admitted that during vacations, she'd love to chow down on gourmet meals. However, throughout the years, she's altered her diet to fit a more healthy lifestyle.

As part of her diet, Kardashian cut out all sugars. She's also incorporated more vegetables along with protein such as chicken and salmon. She also credits drinking plenty of water and taking a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to help maintain her diet. As for when she craves dessert, Kardashian reaches for sweet potatoes or beets.

With three kids and business ventures to run, one would think Kourtney wouldn't have time to work out. However, the Poosh founder makes exercise an important part of her life. For five days a week, Kourtney crams in a workout session.

So how does Kourtney find time for exercise with her busy schedule? Well, Kardashian starts her workouts early in the morning. Most of the time, she'll go for a run around the block or sneak in a jump rope session. Later in the day, she'll hit the gym, where she participates in Pilates, strength training, and kettlebell workouts.

Kourtney often posts bikini photos on her Instagram page flaunting her toned physique. Kardashian's pictures leave little to the imagination, but she's proud of the way her body looks. Although, Kardashian's figure has gone through transformations over the years, Kourtney remains positive when it comes to body image. In 2020, Kourtney responded to a negative Instagram comment about her weight gain by saying "I love my body and I'm proud of my shape."

Kourtney isn't the only one who loves her curves. Kardashian's boyfriend Travis Barker thinks she's beautiful the way she is. Kourtney and the Blink-182 drummer went public with their relationship earlier this year, and things are getting serious with them.

The couple hasn't been shy about expressing their love for each other. Whether it's through social media or PDA on the beach, Kourtney and Travis are deeply in love. According to reports, Kourtney is very happy in her relationship with Travis. The pair already have the approval of their kids and Kourtney's family, who've invited Travis along on vacations.
