Could there BE anymore Bieber fever???
Why yes, yes there could and there is, because the millennial prince of pop is set to make a cameo on the ‘Friends’ reunion special on HBO Max.
‘Friends’ fans have been buzzing since news of the reunion special was confirmed. ‘Friends’ wrapped their final episode in 2004 and we have yet to see Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey & Phoebe reunite, on-screen that is.
Jennifer Aniston famously made her debut to Instagram in 2019 with an EPIC photo of her and the cast captioning it, “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM.”
The reunion special will reunite Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry for the first time since the show wrapped.
However, the reunion special will not see the actors reprise their famous roles. Rather, the special will feature the actors as themselves reminiscing about their time on 90’s sitcom.
So, where does Bieber fit into all of this?
We say ‘potato,’ ‘potahto,’ anything goes.
But Bieber quite literally will be sporting Ross’ unforgettable Spudnik potato costume from the season eight episode titled, “The One With The Halloween Party.”
Here’s a refresher!
According to The Sun, Bieber filmed scenes wearing Ross’ Spudnik potato costume from the season eight episode.
A source said Justin was honored to be involved and didn’t mind wearing a ridiculous costume.
Bieber is a superfan of the show and even talked about which character he relates most to on an episode of James Cordens’ “Carpool Karaoke.”
During their car ride jam sesh, Corden asked Bieber, “Which ‘Friends’ character do you think you are?”.
Bieber responded quote, “I think I’m a mix of all of them, because Ross is like the super sensitive one and I’m very sensitive. Chandler is the sarcastic one and I’m super sarcastic and uh witty, I mean I’m not going to give myself compliments but I’d like to say I’m a little witty.”
He then proceeded to give his best Joey Tribbiani impression of, ‘How you doin?’ and there’s no lying he was spot on.
Speaking of Joey, details have surfaced that the reunion special will see him put on all of Chandler’s clothing and do lunges.
During ‘Friends’ run in the early 2000s another millennial graced the ‘Friends’ set with his presence, and that is none other than Cole Sprouse.
Cole portrayed Ross’ son Ben in the later seasons and was basically “killed off” as they say in show business.
When asked about his role getting the axe, Cole said in a 2019 interview with GQ, “Critics would agree that Ross was never really the most present father. And so it doesn’t surprise me too much.”
No news yet whether or not Cole will reprise his role as Ben, but here’s to hoping.
