Cardi B is always very vocal on social media when it comes to current event topics and isn’t afraid at all to express her opinions. She’s done a great job over the last few years on speaking on incidents of police brutality on Black Americans and now, she is doing the same on Twitter. This week, she addressed Republicans specifically for not siding with victims in these situations as commonly, they usually put the blame on the victims instead of the officers who abuse their power.
Cardi Calls On ‘Blue Check Mark Republicans’ To Speak Out In Support Of Police Brutality Victims
In Cardi’s caption, she explained how these Republicans are a “joke” and how they never support these victims but are quick to speak out regarding athletes and other celebrities who are trending in the United States.
“Ya been real quit .Twitter Blue check Republicans are a f*ckin joke,” said Cardi in her Twitter caption where she posted a video voicing her concerns.” I don’t ever want to see ya ranting on celebrities, athletes until yall address what’s REALLY WRONG IN AMERICA!”

“This past week, we have seen an American lieutenant that served this country get treated like a f*ckin’ dog by cops,” said Cardi “Got maced, got thrown to the floor. Mind you, this man served this country—over some fcking license plates that these motherf*ckas couldn’t see, temporary license plates.”
Cardi Also Cited Murder Of Daunte Wright In Minnesota
Last weekend, 20-year-old Daunte Wright was also shot and killed by Officer Kim Potter in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Wright was being arrested on a warrant and there, Potter claims that she accidentally shot him after claiming she originally wanted to use a taser. Wright then got in his car, drove off, crashed, and tragically passed away.
“We have seen a young man get killed by a cop, unarmed, and the excuse was the cop that had been on duty for 20-plus years mistakes a gun for a Taser,” Cardi added. And my thing is, where the f*ck are you Twitter blue check Republicans at? Y’all are the loudest in this motherf*ckin’ app. Y’all not saying nothin’. Y’all not complainin’. Y’all blame everything with what’s wrong in America beside the police. Y’all have been very silent. What’s going on?”
Cardi’s Platform Continues To Raise Awareness
Cardi B speaking out on racism and police brutality is definitely great on her part in getting the messages out to millions of people. Police continuing to kill unarmed Black Americans sadly continues to be a trend as justice is always becoming rare. In Minnesota, the state is still in the midst of the ongoing Derek Chauvin trial. This is the officer who killed George Floyd last summer by kneeling on his neck for nine minutes and 29 seconds.
