Atlanta rapper, YFN Lucci, has been in a very unfortunate situation ever since mid-January. The platinum rapper was arrested due to his alleged involvement in the murder of 28-year-old James Adams. Charges handed down to Lucci were felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Luckily for Lucci though, he was able to leave prison on $500,000 bond and very strict bond conditions that he had to follow to remain a free man.
Prosecutors Say Lucci Should Go Back To Prison After Reports Of Violations
Lucci may not be a free man any longer, according to TMZ. Prosecutors in this case have come out and stated that he committed multiple bond violations on the first day that he was released. Among these were visiting a strip club that was being investigated for a gang-related shooting. Another was visiting an Atlanta recording studio that he wasn’t allowed to be at. Prosecutors added that Lucci tested positive for marijuana and opiates in a recent drug test.
Prosecutors Add That Lucci’s Ankle Monitor Was Tampered With
In addition to these reported violations, prosecutors say that Lucci also tampered with the ankle monitor that he’s been required to wear. They explained that there are “lots of missing and irregular data,” according to the TMZ report. Based on everything that’s happened, they want Lucci back in prison until at least the end of the case.
“This attempt to revoke his bond is without merit and is replete with factual and legal inaccuracies,” said Lucci’s attorney, Drew Findling, to TMZ. We will zealously fight this motion as we will with every aspect of this legally flawed prosecution.”
Two Out Of Three Additional Suspects Were Taken Into Custody
In addition to Lucci being monitored by the feds, two additional suspects were apprehended at the time of his arrest, according to 11 Alive. These were 17-year-old Leroy Pitts and 23-year-old Ra’von Boyd. Pitts was hit with charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Boyd was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Lucci Was Also Known For Dating Reginae Carter
Lucci has been one of the hottest rappers out of Atlanta since 2015 but was also trending from 2018 through this year for his dating life. Since early 2018, he’s been dating Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter. The two appeared to split at the end of 2019 but seem to still be together as Reginae still shows Lucci love. The two still haven’t officially confirmed that they are still a couple as of late though in the midst of Lucci’s current legal circumstances.
