Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson sent love and support to MTV’s “The Challenge” star, Ashely Cain, and his daughter Azaylia Diamond on Sunday, April 11.
The British former pro soccer player and model revealed that his 8-month-old daughter’s cancer has spread and that the doctors predicted that she has just days to live. Johnson heard about Azaylia’s struggles and that Cain is a huge admirer of his and filmed an emotional message of support for the MTV star.
Dwayne started his message by explaining how he quickly became connected to their struggle. “I’m so sorry to hear about your beautiful daughter,” the caring actor said. “You tell that little lion that I said, ‘Let’s go champ!'”
“Brother, I’m so sorry to hear this news, but I don’t have to tell you that your daughter’s strength is what strengthens you,” ‘The Rock’ continued. “She’s already had this incredible impact on this world already.” The “Black Adam” star fought to hold back tears near the end of his video. “My heart breaks for you,” he said.
The MTV star previously expressed how ‘The Rock’ and his daughter are his two heroes. “I’m so proud of my little girl and so humbled by the impact she’s had on so many people around the world. From one of my hero’s to another… Let’s Go Champ! ✊?❤️” Ashley captioned Johnson’s heartfelt video.
Cain, also known for starring on “Ex on the Beach,” revealed that he took Azaylia “home where she belongs” two days ago. The father expressed his desire to make the little girl as comfortable as possible. “I made a vow that I’d give her the nicest and most relaxed time at home,” he wrote on his IG story on Sunday.
Ashley and his girlfriend, Saffiya Vorajee, announced that Azaylia had a “very rare and aggressive form” of leukemia in October. The baby girl was just 2-months-old at the time.
Azaylia has been in treatment in the hospital over the past few months. Still, Ashley announced in a 10-minute Instagram video on Thursday, April 8, that his baby has “two very big tumors on her brain” and other masses throughout her body. We are keeping Azaylia, Ashley, Saffiya, and their families in our prayers.
