It's only been a few months since "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" debuted on Hulu, but the show and the stars have quickly gained a huge following on and offline.
The eight-episode first season instantly captivated audiences who begged for new episodes, so it's no surprise that a second season is currently being filmed and will be released in spring 2025. Fans follow the stars of the show on social media to keep up with all the drama that surrounds the group of Utah-based Mormon moms.
The head of MomTok, Taylor Frankie Paul, who has been in the public eye for a few reasons lately, recently found her name on a list that "surprised" her, as she's likely still getting used to all the attention and fame. She shared her reaction to the news in two recent Instagram Stories.
Taylor Frankie Paul Is Still Getting Used To Her New Life In The Spotlight
While Paul may seem comfortable in the spotlight and loves all the attention she's been getting since "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" took over millions of TVs in September, she's still getting used to this new life she's living.
"I feel at a loss for words sometimes. I just didn't expect the show to do as well as it did," she recently told PEOPLE. "I also didn't expect another season and for it to be approved so fast. I'm obviously so happy and grateful, but it's just so surprising. You never know."
The leader of MomTok shared that she remembered thinking early on that the show "will do okay."
"I remember thinking, 'This will do okay. It should do well, given that we all have a story that people haven't heard about, and all of us do have a following,'" she said. "I didn't know the extent of how well it was going to do, so it was shocking as it happened."
Taylor Frankie Paul Was Recently Named To THIS List
When Paul's team sent her news of her name showing up on a newly released list, she shared the text in an Instagram Story. The list - Variety's "30 Most Powerful Women on Reality TV in 2024."
On the Instagram Story, Paul shared her thoughts about being on this list saying, "Feeling so grateful and surprised."
Under Paul's picture on Variety's list, the description reads, "These chaotic, Utah-based momfluencers — who knew what joy they could bring us? Central to the mess was Paul, who was arrested for domestic violence in an incident with her boyfriend, then spent the rest of the season pregnant with his baby."
Other powerful reality stars who made the list include, Rita Ora, Ariana Madix, Marissa George, Julia Fox, Lisa Barlow and many others.
The MomTok Star Shares Her Life On Social Media
Whether it's good news, real and raw emotions, or anything in between, Paul shares it all with her followers on social media.
In a recently shared TikTok video, Paul is seen dancing around with the caption written, "Did anyone else think 2024 was their year and then went to complete sh--?" She captioned the post, "I won't give anything away, but dang."
Many of her loyal followers dropped into the comment section to share their support and share a little of what's going on in their lives.
"Worst year of my life by far," one person wrote to which Paul replied, "Sammmme." Another person shared, "Felt this one in my core."
Taylor Frankie Paul Has Been Dealing With A Lot Of Drama Lately
Paul shares all the drama going on in her life on social media since there aren't any new episodes out of the hit reality show just yet.
After sharing her experience as a presenter at the recent CMAs, Paul realized that none of her fellow MomTok moms commented on her posts so she called them out publicly. Not long after that drama, another issue popped up for Paul when one of the women, Kenna Gibbons, involved in her soft swinging controversy from years ago decided to share her side of the story in a multi-part series on TikTok. Many of the details she gave weren't as Paul remembered it so there was some back-and-forth drama for all to see.
In a TikTok video, Paul shared that she's "exhausted" from all the back-and-forth stories in the hopes of ending the drama.
"I am fighting two different battles at once, and I am literally exhausted," she began her TikTok video. "You know who came on with more receipts. This is the last thing I'm saying. If anything else comes out, I don't care. You guys can assume what you want."
