Melissa Gorga Talks Family Drama On 'RHONJ' After Teresa Giudice Feud

Melissa Gorga opened up about the heated argument she and her husband, Joe Gorga, had with his sister, Teresa Giudice, on Wednesday night's episode of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" during an appearance on the March 29 episode of Access Hollywood's "Housewives Nightcap."

After the Gorgas were seen confronting Giudice about the way she seems to always have her former husband Joe Giudice's back, despite his missteps in life, Gorga addressed the family drama she and Joe faced amid season 11 of the Bravo reality show.

Melissa Gorga Was 'Irked' By The Episode

“This episode runs a little deeper with like the old school family drama, which, by the way, gives me anxiety," Gorga admitted during the interview.

According to Gorga, she and Joe watched the episode together and it impacted her greatly.

"Watching that episode, that irked me a little. I looked at Joe and I’m like, ‘Wow, we haven’t felt like this in a really long time,’" she recalled. "It gets very real when it’s about the [family]. it hurts. You remember how it felt and how stressful it is. I hate when it goes into that. I really do."

Looking back, Gorga said that she typically doesn't allow herself to get too upset about what she sees on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey."

"You can’t get me upset anymore. There’s nothing anyone can say or do on this show that makes me stressed, that makes me read comments. I’m like, ‘Whatever.’ I come in. I say truly what I want, how I want, and I honestly just don’t worry about it anymore," she explained.

That said, it's always hard to watch heated moments with her family play out on the show.

“I understand I have married into this and I’m like, not only do I have Joe but I’m now working, kind of, with my sister-in-law." Gorga continued. "I’m not asking for an award or anything but I’m saying, it’s not always easy to balance that strong personality and they have personalities that they’re very set in their ways. They’re great people. They’re good-hearted people. But what they believe is what they believe and that’s difficult to maneuver around all the time.”

When Gorga was then asked if she copes with her family drama on the show better now than she did years ago, Gorga confirmed that was the case.

“I’m going to say, ‘yes,’ because when you care less about the outcome, or when you finally give up, when you realize, I’ve realize that I’m right in certain situations,” she explained.
