Britney Spears last night found immense joy via a tale that many may have listened to as a child. The 39-year-old princess of pop updated her Instagram with another of her whimsical posts, with Spears’ 29 million followers learning what her favorite fairy tale was when growing up. Britney, hugely in the news right now for finally responding to February-released documentary “Framing Britney Spears” – and admitting she cried “for two weeks” – was back to happiness here. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. Chopping up the home dance videos and new sheer shirt “RED” phase, Britney’s photo came simple. It showed the cover of popular Hans Christian Anderen-authored fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea,” with the child-friendly shot coming as a cartoon of a weary-looking little girl with long braids – she was lying stacked up high on a big pile of mattresses, with the bed looking awkwardly high as a result.
“The Princess and the Pea” appeared in text as if forming a book cover.
Taking to her caption all pumped, the “Toxic” singer even turned interactive at the end, writing:
“This was my favorite book growing up ??? !!!! To this day I still can’t believe they found that pea under all those mattresses !!!! What were your favorite books growing up ? ????? ?: Jana Christy.”
Unsurprisingly, the #FreeBritney movement, these days hell-bent on proving that Britney’s Instagram is being controlled, was quick to smell clues. “U been sleeping on a secret Brit,” one wrote. See more photos after the adorable post.
Britney was all tiny shorts spinnning and Aerosmith earlier this week, breaking her silence on “Framing Britney Spears.” Twirling around her living room, the blonde revealed: ” I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people ??? !!!”
Spears, who confirmed she has not watched the series released by The New York Times earlier this year, added: “It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been so judged… insulted… and embarrassed by the media… and I still am till this day .” More photos below.
The touching post, now seeing fans wondering if Britney even wrote it, continued: “I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in … I cried for two weeks and well …. I still cry sometimes !!!!”
“Framing Britney” has brought the star supported by fans and celebrities alike, not limited to 29-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears and boyfriend Sam Asghari, plus stars including singer Miley Cyrus. If you missed Britney’s skimpy Starbucks run, scroll for the legs and the drink!
