Some of the most successful Generation-Z stars around are on the hunt to give some fellow young stars the chance of a lifetime with a new venture capital fund and strategy.
Johnson and Richards have also teamed up with fellow influencer Noah Beck, as well as business partners Marshall Sandman and Michael Gruen.
Animal Capital intends to act as a traditional venture capital fund, which will include “fundraising, scaling companies into larger enterprises and providing go-to-market strategies.”
Along with other duties, the influencers will also “leverage their broad reach to tap into purchasing decisions of an entirely new generation of consumers.”
“We’re so excited to launch this brand-new model of VC investment, which will provide traditional resources to grow brands while also driving direct awareness among millions of potential customers,” Josh Richards said in a statement.
Richards continued, “With the team we’ve assembled, I have no doubt that Animal Capital will set a new standard in the investment space.”
The latest move by Richards and Griffin Johnson further proves how dedicated the young moguls are to expanding their portfolio beyond dancing on TikTok. With investments in companies and a recent collaboration with Mark Wahlberg for a new production studio, it certainly seems that the influencers of today are turning into the future titans of industry.
