Simone Biles is proving that protein does a gymnast good. The 24-year-old Olympic superstar, fresh from making headlines for her cheesy spaghetti dinner with NFL player boyfriend Jonathan Owens, was yesterday back to guzzling the protein, posting for her 3.9 million Instagram followers and in a perfect floor split. Simone, who has this year revealed massive sausage, egg, bacon, and jam toast brunches, was reminding fans that muscle-building is no joke, and she even earned herself some cash in the process. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. Simone, making 2020 headlines as she was unveiled as the new celebrity face of food delivery chain Uber Eats, was shouting out Core Power brand, with her post coming as both a flexibility display and promo for the drink offering 26g protein per serving.
The photo showed Simone in her training gym and seemingly not struggling at all as she sat in the splits and wearing a skin-tight black leotard with white accent detailing and absolutely noting else.
Biles, with her right leg in front of her and left one behind her, flaunted a ripped and muscle machine of a frame, with the 4’11” star seen with bun hair and looking focused. Three bottles of Core Protein drinks were next to her, with the 30-time Olympic and World medalist writing:
“Love getting in a good stretch and @corepower after my workout! #ad.”
Simone, who back-flipped her way towards cheesy cauliflower pizza last year, was clearly proving that the building blocks matter.
In 2020, Simone opened up to Women’s Health with a full break-down of her diet, plus her nutrition philosophies. “I do not track anything,” she said: “I eat what I feel good with and try not to overeat or stuff myself because I’m always at the gym.”
“For gymnasts, in particular, [tracking] can lead to health problems and eating issues, so I just eat what I know I can and should,” Simone added. The star even outlined her massive weekend eggs and waffles appetite. See her bikini body below!
Simone, who seemed to enjoy a mimosa with her massive brunch this year, confirmed she puts her money where her mouth is. The Ohio native continued: “On the weekends, I’ll have some protein waffles with chocolate chips, some eggs, or even make cinnamon rolls. Because I might not have to be at the gym, I can actually take the time to make breakfast.”
Simone also fronts sportswear giant Nike and skincare brand SKI-II. Scroll for her removing her chest piercing in a lime green bikini!
