Former Disney star Maitland Ward has already made a successful jump into the adult world of entertainment, and now she's once again showing off her versatility with a return to the mainstream by signing on to produce and star in a new comedy series.

Maitland Ward, who once starred on Disney's "Boy Meets World," just announced that she's a part of "The Big Time," a new comedy TV series in development, with a shooting schedule set to begin in May.

Maitland Ward has made an impressive debut as a porn star, as she has already racked up a ton of awards and recognition for her hardcore scenes. However, The Blast has confirmed Ward will not be stripping down for her role on "The Big Time," but she's not ditching her sexy persona completely.

"The Big Time stars a luminous Ward, who also serves as a producer on the series, as a world-famous adult superstar trying to save a waning film studio on the brink of collapse," a description of the show reads.

It continues, "Armed with a plan to shake things up, she hires a nerdy aspiring writer and mama’s boy to breathe new life into her steamy scenes."

Maitland Ward is extremely excited for the new project, describing how she's now able to combine her talents in both the world of porn and comedy.

“When I read the script, I fell in love and immediately knew I’d want to be a part of it in a significant and impactful way,” the actress said in a statement.

She added, “It’s exciting for me to be able to marry my creative talents as an actress and my experience in the adult world to create such an original, fun character and a powerful female-driven, sex-positive project – and to be involved as a producer takes all of this to a new level.”

"The Big Time" is created by Zerelda Nothnagel and Mikey Rodriguez, with Rob Alicea and Maitland Ward serving as executive producers.
