Britney Spears has broken her silence on the “Framing Britney Spears documentary. The 39-year-old pop princess was last night back to twirling around her living room in skimpy shorts, but this video came different as the “Toxic” singer, for the first time, addressed the documentary released in February by The New York Times. Posting for her 29 million Instagram followers while spinning around barefoot for another legendary living room dance, Spears slammed the documentary, even admitting she’s been left “embarrassed.” Check it out below.
Scroll for the video. Britney updated late last night while dancing to Aerosmith’s “Crazy” and looking happy. The Grammy winner was in her signature teeny-tiny plaid shorts, also wearing a crimson crop top and shimmying her hips all body-ody-ody to the beats.
While the moves were carefree, the caption was not. “My life has always been very speculated …,” the singer began, adding that it takes “strength” to “TRUST the universe.” Spears also stated she’s always “been so judged…insulted…and embarrassed by the media.”
Keep scrolling for the video. Britney continued:
“I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in … I cried for two weeks and well …. I still cry sometimes !!!! I do what I can in my own spirituality with myself to try and keep my own joy … love … and happiness ✨?? ☀️ !!!!”
The video, now watched over 2.3 million times, also saw Spears call people “fragile.” See more photos after the footage.
Closing, the mom of two concluded: “Every day dancing brings me joy !!! I’m not here to be perfect … perfect is boring … I’m here to pass on kindness ??? !!!!”
The #FreeBritney movement isn’t convinced the blonde actually wrote the caption, with fans largely continuing to think that a team is managing Britney’s social media as she continues to battle 68-year-old dad Jamie Spears in her 2008-commenced conservatorship. “Seems Britney is not writing this,” a popular comment read. Britney’s Tuesday night update was a double one as she shared two similar videos, both showing her whipping her hair around and delivering the moves. The first tapped into the “RED” theme seen on her Instagram this month.
“RED ??? !!!!” she wrote, adding: “I was feeling wild dancing to @aerosmith at 2am last night ???? !!!!”
Britney has been spotted only once in public since the documentary. An outing in March showed her with a Starbucks ice water. Scroll to see if she paid for it.
