It may only be March, but Britney Spears is feeling the Halloween spirit in a series of dark Instagram posts that have the Princess of Pop feeling spooky! Britney diverted from her regularly programmed schedule of dance videos and smattering of red-themed items to social media on Tuesday afternoon and switched things up with a seriously twisted photo.
Showing what appeared to be a vintage macabre photograph of a woman in a long flowing dress holding a baby skeleton, Britney certainly delivered a creepy post.
“Devil is in the details ? …. wouldn’t want this baby to hit me one more time, Britney captioned the dark photo, in reference to her hit song.
It’s unclear what type of reaction Britney was hoping for from fans, but they certainly seemed alarmed over the message from their pop idol.
“Girl, what is happening?” one fan commented on Britney’s post, while another exclaimed, “Literally, WHAT?”
Others thought that the weird pic was “100% a sign” and that Britney was once again trying to send a message to her fans.
Britney followed up her evil photo with a video of herself dancing in that sheer patterned top and explained the meaning behind her look.
“I’m an extremely wicked looking vampire ??♀️ but really that’s the whole point!” the star wrote.
It’s unclear why Britney is suddenly into the darker things in life, as she is usually known for sharing happy and bright photos of flowers and other things that put a smile on her face.
Is it possible her dark attitude can be attributed to her inner thoughts over the ongoing conservatorship?
As we previously reported, Britney Spears is once again squaring off with her father in court over his role as the head of her strict legal conservatorship. She has been shut down before, but the pop star is demanding that Jamie Spears be relieved of his duties as conservator and be replaced with a woman named Jodi Montgomery, who Britney feels is better suited to manage her finances and medical decisions.
Along with control of the conservatorship, Britney is also demanding that her father return $300,000 that was paid to him through the conservatorship.
