By Gary Trock

Jessica Simpson is revealing to fans that she spent part of last year battling COVID-19, and instead of letting the virus take over her life and consume her with fear, she chose to chronicle the experience into an essay that is now being shared with the public.

The bestselling author and entrepreneur took to Instagram on Monday to reveal a new project that will be launched with Amazon as part of her larger deal with the studio to develop storytelling content.

Revealing a beautifully stoic shot of herself in a sheer dress, Jessica Simpson revealed the cover of her new Amazon Original Stories essay titled, "Take the Lead," which she describes deals with "self-acceptance, parenthood and overcoming fear."

"We have all been handed challenges and fears in our lives that, at times, felt like too much to overcome," Simpson wrote to her fans.

She continued, "This past year has been especially intense for me and so many of you. I started writing this essay on the same day I received a positive test result for COVID-19. I decided instead of being driven by fear, I would manifest a hopeful conversation with you."
