Angela Simmons has scored a huge career win. The 33-year-old “Growing Up Hip-Hop” star and Simmons Beauty founder is fresh from news that she’s landed her own “Just Angela” reality series, with the daughter to Rev Run now joining the likes of former “Basketball Wives LA” star Draya Michele is gaining a solo show. Angela’s new series, which will premiere on Aspire TV, will showcase her multi-faceted career and motherhood, plus what it’s like to date with the whole world watching. Check it out below.

The mom to 2016-born son Sutton, largely in the news last year for the May launch of her Simmons Beauty line, is set to return to the small screen and without rapper Bow Bow claiming her backside set off his house alarm. In a new interview with Madame Noir, Angela opened up on the show, plus why she decided to wing it solo.
Angela confirmed she’s staying on VH1, but there’s more to come.
Saying this will be a “different type of show,” the Fashion Nova partner said: “You know, the real, the stories that I can’t tell through the lens of my reality show. It’s just other things that I can speak about. And so entrepreneur, mother, just all of the things I do in one place. A place where I can tell you guys what’s actually going on.”
Angela, whose career also includes her DHair Boutique partnership and new wellness brand, then addressed her motherhood.
Admitting that human beings only have the 24 hours in one day, Angela added:
“Well, I say like days never go as planned, especially when you’re a mom because you don’t know at what point you may have to drop something to do something for your child but I always go back to just putting in the energy and the time into it,” continuing: “I think anything that we want in life is about putting the energy into it. It’s finding the time in your day.”

“Built Not Bought” is the hashtag behind Angela’s 2019-founded Purpose App, with the phrase now being employed in a way bigger way as the star launches her BNB by Angela wellness brand, one set to jump into clothing as she announces leggings. Angela made 2020 headlines for stripping down to a bikini and addressing her body image in a raw way, saying that she doesn’t “have a 6 pack,” but that loving yourself is more important.
