Ryan Seacrest is all big grin and pasta as 50-year-old “Live!” co-host Kelly Ripa disappears. The 45-year-old “American Idol” face is now two days running without his trusty side-kick, with Ryan making major headlines yesterday alongside Kelly as America’s most-watched morning talk show became “Live with” someone else and “Ryan.” On Monday, Seacrest was joined by temporary co-host Maria Menounous, with the 42-year-old seemingly back for a second day running. Maria was all legs on Tuesday. Check it out below.
Scroll for the video. Kelly, who did not announce a break but is assumed to be enjoying one, left Ryan in the lurch as the week kicked off, with the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” producer joined by Maria and, as The Blast reported, seeing some fans wanting her to be a permanent deal.
Maria, who went leggy yesterday in a check shorts-and-jacket set with high heels, was today back in a skimpy and super-classy look, once again wearing stiletto heels.
On-set footage, nearly always shared ahead of airing time by the “Live!” Instagram account, showed Maria looking gorgeous in a gold-yellow, pleated, and coat-effect minidress, one she paired with matching heels. Both co-hosts hopped up onto their chairs, with Ryan seen smiling and wearing his glasses.
“@mariamenounos is back as guest cohost!” the show wrote, and the replies didn’t take long. “Love Maria and Ryan as co-hosts,” one fan replied. “Much better!” another added, seemingly no fan of former “All My Children” star Kelly.
Ryan, himself ditching Kelly last year for two days as he both took time off and awaited the results of a COVID test, has remained tight-lipped on why Kelly isn’t around or what she might be doing. Ahead of today’s airing, “Live!” shared a massive pasta feast that Ryan was preparing, with a video showing him in an apron as he prepped feta pasta, tons of tomatoes, and garlic for a fantastic dish he said could work for “breakfast, lunch, or dinner.”

Kelly, who last year told Parade she might be done with the series she’s hosted since 2001, has also opened up on something fans might not know. Namely, what she does after the show and how much she’s involved.
“After the show, I go to the post-production meeting and then I go to the production offices. I’ve always attended the production meetings, even before I was an executive producer. I think it’s important to figure out what’s working and what’s not working,” she told The Cut.
