Dua Lipa had quite the fright when a fan rushed her as she made her way to her car!
The “Future Nostalgia” artist was in Mexico City on March 20, when the scary incident went down. Lipa was allegedly leaving a photoshoot when an overexcited fan bolted for the star before she was able to make it to her car. In the video, which surfaced on social media shortly after, a woman can be seen rushing the star and grabbing her arm before her security team could get things under control. Lipa was assumably at a YSL photoshoot that she teased on social media earlier. “So happy to be back on set for the new Libre campaign with my @yslbeauty team ??,” the singer wrote. Word of Dua’s location allegedly spread quickly, and fans began to gather outside of the building.
The crowd erupted with excitement as they got a glimpse of the star exiting the building. “DUUUUAAA,” the fans screamed as she quickly tried to navigate her way to her ride. Suddenly, a fan approached the star at an alarming speed and caused the scene to turn chaotic for a moment. At one point in the video, the fan can be seen reaching out to grab the singer as security pulled Dua away. She appeared to be unscathed.

A source told The Sun that the situation “turned nasty when two fans rushed up to her. They really ran at her and it looked scary.”
“Dua looked really uncomfortable,” their source continued. “Thankfully security was there to drag the people away because who knows what could have happened.”
A week earlier, the singer was in Los Angeles to attend the Grammys Awards, where “Future Nostalgia” won Best Pop Vocal Album. During her acceptance speech, she specifically thanked her fans. “I really want to say a massive, massive thank you to all the fans,” she emotionally said, “this is all because of you.” Dua continued, “This is all you and I appreciate every single thing that you have done for this album.”
