The eldest brother of Miley Cyrus is on a journey and is finding the things in life that make him feel happy and complete. Trace Cyrus has been open about his struggles with addiction and mental health and has been updating fans via social media on his ups and downs as he navigates the path of life. Most recently, Trace admitted that, although he is working hard, he can’t seem to get anything going in the right direction, but said he was determined to stay focused on his goals.
32-year-old Trace Cyrus took to Instagram as he was getting ready to kick off the weekend and paid tribute to his most loyal of friends, and best boy ever.
“No matter what I’m going through this guy is always there to cheer me up! The love & loyalty dogs give us is so amazing,” Trace captioned his photo of himself and his dog, a German Shepherd/Husky mix.
He continued, “Nanook is such a sweet boy. I couldn’t imagine life without him & Ashland. It’s pretty crazy our best friends don’t even have to be humans.”
Trace Cyrus is staying positive after returning to social media and explaining to fans that things have not been so great lately.
“Ever feel like nothing in life is going right? No matter how hard you try things just don’t work out the way you hoped?” Miley’s bro wrote to fans.
He added, “That’s what I was feeling lately. I’ve had to dig deep to get myself out of this dark place I’ve been in. I had to take a step back & realize how much I have to be thankful for. I’m focusing hard on ignoring any expectations I have in life & focusing on appreciating all I’ve been blessed with.”
