In today’s hearing, Dr. Dre’s lawyer argued that the legendary rapper hasn’t seen his ex-wife in a very long time and said there is no need for a restraining order.
In an opposition, filed by Dr. Dre, he claims Nicole is citing “old” allegations to try and get a restraining order.
As we reported, she accused the rapper of abusing her during their marriage, claiming, “Andre has verbally and emotionally decimated my personhood to the extent that I currently suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome.”
Specifically, she alleged he “held a gun to my head” twice in 2000 and 2001, that he “punched me in the head/face” in 1999 and 2000 and that he “kicked down a door.” In her filing, she claims she had to hide “from his rage.”

As we reported, this isn’t the first time Nicole has filed documents outlining alleged abuse. In legal documents, she claimed, “During our marriage, I considered calling the police several times; but, as I fell deeper into the abusive relationship, my fear of Andre outweighed any confidence I had that the police could help me,” she said.
Interestingly, in Dr. Dre’s opposition filed by Laura Wasser, the rapper says his estranged wife even visited him at the hospital after suffering a brain aneurism. Plus, it was the only time they have seen each other since filing for divorce.
In other words, there is no need for a restraining order.
A judge set a hearing on the matter in three weeks.
