Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin has been given “I mean…” a “10” for yanking her backside up in the air during an energetic spandex-clad workout. The 31-year-old five-time Olympic medalist dropped major sweat session vibes on her Tuesday Instagram stories, posting for her 1 million followers and in beast mode as she both flaunted her massive thigh gap and showed that putting in the grind is a reality for her. Reposting from her trainer, the 2008 all-around champion delivered one heck of a show-off – check it out below.
Scroll for the workout action. Nastia, who faced an anorexia storm in October 2020 and was this year trolled over her “gross skinny chicken legs,” kicked off in selfie mode and from her gym while head-to-toe in caramel-colored and very skimpy spandex, posing with dog Harley and ready to burn some energy.
Putting her money where her mouth is as she talked a “quick warm up,” the Russian-born star then appeared in sliding workout fashion, all butt hiked up and getting a “Liiiift” instruction from trainer Kira.
Nastia, using her arms to support herself and mobile gym equipment, quickly stretched her Olympian body right up to throw up her rear, with fans seeing the blonde’s sculpted shoulders and back as she wore only a sports bra and leggings – trainer Kira seemed to think Liukin was doing a great job.
“I mean…,” the caption opened, with a hand holding a “10” sign appearing. “Although “10’s” don’t exist with the new scoring system,” was written in smaller text below.
Nastia, who made 2020 headlines for her mean boxing session, has opened up on working out post retiring aged just 22 back in 2012. In 2016, the gymnast spoke with The Cut, revealing:
“I felt so lost for a good year. I gained probably 10 to 20 pounds, because when you stop doing something and just go cold turkey your body doesn’t even know what to do. I finally feel like I’ve found my rhythm again.”

Liukin, who runs with her dog and was in the news last year for hiking around Montana in tiny shorts, added that variety is key for her.
“I love boxing with my trainer. I love barre classes and hot yoga. I love Pilates. That really elongates you, but it’s also important to do some kind of cardio and now that the weather’s nice I love running along the West Side. It’s a beautiful view. I take spinning classes, too.”
