Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney is hanging around her car while admitting “I know I talk about not drinking coffee” and totally grabbing one. The 25-year-old vault queen, fresh from making major health headlines as she was rushed to the E.R. in “severe pain” for an eventual kidney stones diagnosis last month, is now back to talking health, doing so via her popular, but not very well-known Glohé wellness Instagram. It was all coffee and bra flash on Tuesday. Check it out below.
Scroll for the video. It comes as McKayla, who is now vegan following a Diet Coke addiction in past days, continues to address nutrition and well-being on Glohé, a feed that recently saw the London 2012 Olympics face talk tomatoes.
Today addressing coffee, the California native appeared all smiles and with her clear complexion from her car, strapped into her seat in a round-neck maroon sweater and wearing cute gold hoop earrings as she teased a bra flash. “I’m in the car, I’m about to get some coffee at this little shop that I found,” Maroney began.
All made up and looking super-cute, McKayla said that she’d gotten back into morning coffees, revealing that after her kidney stones drama: “I just wanted coffee!”
“I felt like it was gonna comfort me,” she explained, adding that everything was “making me sick to eat.” The gymnast had revealed vomiting symptoms prior to being hospitalized at an Orange County facility. “I don’t need to explain myself, but I want to explain myself,” she continued, promising a talk on what foods can “inflame” your skin.
McKayla, whose food roster has this year included a pumpkin breakfast waffles show-off, added that you should “find out what works for you, and find a balance…You know?”
The video comes as McKayla braves showing before and after photos of her acne. While the star’s skin is now super-clear, the images shared just today showed troubled skin in the past, even the acupuncture needles used to try and treat McKayla’s pimples back in the day. See the post and her bikini body below.
Reavealing that she was “not doing well” in past times, McKayla updated today, telling fans:
“I would take these pictures to see if my skin was getting better or not. I really think most of my acne was caused from my raw vegan diet that wasn’t working for me, like I said in my previous post — but I’ve had almost every kind of acne.”
“I want to help others struggling feel less alone, and let them know that things can get better,” Maroney added.
