Addressing the documentary on Friday, March 5, Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram Story to share her feelings. “So I finally watched the Britney Spears documentary this week,” she revealed, adding, “it made me feel a lot of empathy for her [Britney Spears.]

“No matter how public someone’s life may seem, no one deserves to be treated with such cruelty or judgment for entertainment,” she continued. Like many of the singer’s fans, “Framing Britney Spears” seemed to spark a cord with Kim Kardashian. Turning the conversation to herself, the business mogul shared her own trauma.

Reminding everyone that she suffered from Preeclampsia which caused her to swell and gain 60 pounds, Kim Kardashian reminisced about the pain she endured being “compared to Shamu the Whale,” and “the pressures of being constantly compared to what society considered a healthy pregnant person.”
Saying she decided to share her own experience to make people stop and think of how they treat others, Kim Kardashian added, “You just never fully know what someone is going through behind the scenes.” She also asked everyone to “lead with kindness.”
