Diddy's 'Astonishingly Thinner' Appearance Linked To His Alleged Refusal Of Prison Meals

Sean "Diddy" Combs was recently seen looking "thinner" than usual. According to a report, the rapper's weight loss may be related to his refusal of meals out of fear for his safety.
The rapper is currently being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York on sex crime charges and will remain there until his trial after withdrawing his bail attempt.
According to reports, Sean "Diddy" Combs will only receive meals available from the "MDC commissary list" for the Christmas season, along with a possible "Christmas or holiday sack."
Why The Embattled Rapper Looked 'Thinner' During His Court Appearance
Diddy reportedly appeared "astonishingly thinner" during his most recent court appearance, where cameras were not permitted.
The rapper's appearance fueled rumors that he has been avoiding meals, which may have contributed to the weight loss.
However, prison expert Larry Levine suggested on the Daily Mail's podcast, "The Trial of Diddy," that it shouldn't be surprising if the music mogul skips meals.
Levine explained that he might be doing so as a form of self-protection.
"He does get a lot of people in trouble. People want to kill him," the Wall Street Prison Consultants founder said. "So what if somebody on the outside knew someone that had a relative that worked in the prison, and they put something in his food?"
Levine added, "A little bit at a time, then he gets poisoned, whatever it is, and it's early checkout for Mr. Puff Daddy. They kill him. That's another reason, another theory as to why he wasn't eating. He was afraid the food was poisoned or contaminated."
Diddy Won't Enjoy Any Lavish Meal In Prison For Christmas
After voluntarily withdrawing his bail application, Diddy is now facing a "bleak" Christmas, confined to the special housing unit of the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York.
It gets worse for the embattled rapper, who, according to the Daily Mail, will only be getting "what's available to him from the MDC commissary list" rather than the luxurious meals he was used to as a free man.
A source revealed that the Bad Boy founder may also receive a "Christmas or holiday sack" but the content of such packages has since shrunk over the years.
"It's plastic and it's almost like a big pillow and over the years it has shrunk," prison expert Levine said on the news outlet's podcast.
He added, "It's a bunch of crap that probably was purchased because it was out of date because the prison system sells you out of date stuff. And they're trying to act like they're doing the inmates a favor."
The Rapper's Detention Might Be Wearing On Him
Diddy has been in detention at the MDC since his arrest on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution in September.
Apparently, being locked up in detention has taken a physical toll on him, as law and Crime reporter Elizabeth Millner shared after the rapper's most recent hearing.
The journalist revealed that Diddy "appeared just astonishingly thinner" and also "appeared greyer a little bit."
"A lot different from the luxury lifestyle that he was living before, but he appeared very noticeably thinner, and maybe being locked up in detention is starting to wear on him," she added, per Page Six.
Diddy's Close Sources Have Denied Ill Health Claims
In response to the speculations, sources close to Diddy have claimed that the rapper is "fit" and "healthy."
They also shared he is "fully focused on his defense" for his trial, which is scheduled for May, next year.
The sources added about the rapper: "He has been very active, remains in good spirits, and, as always, he was happy to see his children."
Having recently withdrawn his bail appeal attempt, Diddy is expected to remain in jail until his trial.
He had previously been denied bail on three occasions, with the most recent denial stemming from federal prosecutors presenting compelling evidence of Diddy's alleged propensity for violence.
The Rapper's Release Poses A 'Serious Risk Of Witness Tampering'
Judge Arun Subramanian's ruling on Diddy's third bail request highlighted the dangers of releasing the rapper from jail before his trial.
"The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community," the ruling read, per the Daily Mail.
The judge also noted that there's "evidence supporting a serious risk of witness tampering" after the "Bad Boy for Life" rapper was accused of violating his phone privileges behind bars.
Diddy was also slammed for allegedly paying other inmates to use their Phone Access Code numbers to make three-way calls to people who were not on his approved contact list.
