Joe Exotic is asking his fans to donate to ‘Operation Smile’ in his name, instead of sending him birthday cards, claiming the prison will reject them.
The ‘Tiger King’ star’s team took to Instagram and shared a handwritten letter from the reality star, asking that anyone who was planning on sending him a birthday card to the prison — donate to charity instead.
The reality star explained any birthday style card would get ‘rejected,’ by the facility, and is hoping his followers will help children in need.

“Everyone, please do not waste money on B-day cards. They will reject them. So, for my birthday donate to operationsmile.org in my name. Love you,” Joe wrote.
Operation Smile is an organization founded in 1982 by a plastic surgeon who travels abroad and volunteers to repair children’s cleft lips and cleft palates.
The announcement came on the heels of Joe Exotic BLASTING his husband over Twitter for not answering his phone calls.
“Money destroyed my entire family. I won’t allow it to kill my soul. You win, Dillon, Jeff Duncan, Carole,” he began.

“Come March 22nd for Travis’s Birthday I am going to keep his promise I made the day he died. I don’t need the fame, the money or the bullshit, you can have it all,” he continued.
Adding, “It’s pretty sad to be in prison and still mean f–king nothing that ya can’t even answer a phone. I see where I stand.”
It’s unclear if anything else prompted the outburst, but his husband responded by saying the reality star is having a very hard time in jail.

“He and I, like everyone in any relationship, go through their ups and downs. This is magnified by the fact that our relationship is very public and the fact that one of his only outlets is social media,” wrote Passage.
Adding, “Unfortunately it isn’t the healthiest place to deal with personal affairs and not how I normally handle my relationship challenges. Joe is obviously having a difficult time in prison and I don’t think any of us can fault him for that. I’ve never spoken poorly of Joe, through the ups and the downs and through his good and his bad. I see through all of this and recognize and realize it for what it is; a man in prison just trying to do his best.”
Either way, Operation Smile is a wonderful cause, and hopefully many will join in the effort to help.
