Gymnast McKayla Maroney All Smiles Hours Before Hospitalization

As The Blast reported, McKayla Maroney rushed to an emergency medical facility near her home in Southern California when the pain became too excruciating for the gymnast to bear. Mind you, this is the same girl who scored a place on the Olympic team after suffering a concussion days prior so she must have been in agony.

Turning the camera on herself, McKayla Maroney was seen without any makeup wearing a blue gown while laying in a hospital bed from inside Benjamin & Carmela Du Emergency Pavilion in Orange County.

Giving her more than one million Instagram followers a real-life update on her condition, the star revealed, "Tuesday I was throwing up all day, with severe pain in my back and stomach." Posing with her eyes closed, McKayla Maroney looked beautiful despite being in pain. Keep scrolling to see!

Thankfully, her doctors were able to identify the reasoning behind her agony. "Had to come to the ER at 3am because pain kept getting worse, and I couldnt' stop throwing up," she said. "Just got by CT Scan back. I have a few kidney stones."

On Wednesday, McKayla Maroney posted some exciting news on her social media. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the retired gymnast flashed a smile while revealing she signed on to UTA, one of the biggest talent agencies in Los Angeles. McKayla Maroney is joining the big dogs because UTA's client list includes Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Harrison Ford, and many other A-listers.
