In a somewhat upsetting pregnancy update shared by the “Vanderpump Rules” cast member on Wednesday, February 24, Kent revealed that after suffering a blood clot and being put on bedrest, she is now preparing for the potential early arrival of her first child.
In a statement shared with her fans and followers on the official Instagram page of her unborn daughter, Kent explained how she got to where she is right now.
Lala Kent Began Bleeding Early On In Her Pregnancy
“I’m overwhelmed by the excitement [and] joy of becoming a mom. Since I found out I was pregnant at around [five] weeks, I found myself changing quickly,” she began.
“At [six] weeks I started bleeding. I went to the emergency room, already knowing what they could tell me. They took me into a room for an ultra sound and I laid there quietly. I asked the nurse what was happening. She said she wasn’t allowed to say,” Kent continued.
According to the nurse, only the doctor was able to deliver the official news about Kent’s pregnancy.
Lala Kent Had A Health Scare
Luckily, after the nurse pulled up the baby monitor, Kent received good news.
“For the first time, I heard the pitter patter of my baby’s heartbeat. ‘Your baby is still there,'” Kent recalled.
Although Kent was surely relieved to see that her daughter was okay, she has been extremely nervous about the health of her pregnancy ever since, especially after noticing that she was continuing to bleed randomly.
“Although bleeding during pregnancy isn’t normal, it is common. My bleeding was the result of a clot. I was put on bed rest until it was gone,” she explained.
Lala Kent’s Daughter’s Growth Was A Concern
When Kent then attended her 20-week appointment, she again received news that made her fearful.
“They let me know how concerned they were about her growth and wanted to see me in [two] weeks. For those [two] weeks I shoved my face, sobbed, and shoved my face. The next appointment there was growth; not much, but some. After a few weeks my doctors concluded that this was a placenta problem, not a kid problem. Although we never want any problem, this was a relief,” she shared.
Lala Kent Could Deliver In As Little As A Week
Now at 34-weeks along, Kent is full-term.
“My placenta is measuring mature; 40 weeks, meaning it’s full term [and] could stop giving my baby girl what she needs-before that happens they want her out of the belly,” she revealed. “I am now going to appointments [two] days a week- they continue to monitor her heartbeat and her growth. When they notice her growth start to slow is when they will make the call to take her out. This could be anywhere from 35-37 weeks. Yes, in [one] to [three] weeks I could be delivering my angel… and all I keep praying for is she comes out healthy. This is all I think about every day, all day.”
