TikTok star Josh Richards is about to take a new step in his career as he’s launching a production company focused on creating content for Gen-Z audiences, and the social media influencer has teamed up with none other than Mark Wahlberg to make it happen. According to an announcement made on Tuesday, Wahlberg’s production company, Unrealistic Ideas, has partnered with Richards to form CrossCheck Studios, LLC.
Under the new joint venture, Richards will become the CEO and Michael Gruen, Richards’ business partner, will serve as the president.
Josh Richards and Michael Gruen have already started work at CrossCheck Studios while reportedly working on a full slate of material across multiple platforms targeting the Gen-Z audience.
“I am impressed with Josh and all of the things he’s already accomplished,” Mark Wahlberg said in a statement.
He added, “We are looking forward to being in business with him and joining forces with CrossCheck Studios.”
19-year-old Richards, who boasts an impressive 38 million followers across his social media platforms, is grateful for the opportunity to work with the iconic “Transformers” star.
“This is a real passion project for me that I’m going to pour my heart and soul into. We’re going to have a lot of fun along the way and build something great together. I would like to thank Mark, Lev and Archie for believing in a 19-year-old from a small town in Ontario. Now, let’s get to work,” Richars said.
