Halle Bailey landed herself on the exclusive list of celebrities Beyoncé sent her latest outfits to!
The younger half of the sister singing group, Chloe X Halle, channeled her mentor with some sultry selfies on Tuesday, February 23. Halle shared pics of herself wearing a shiny bodysuit by Beyoncé’s clothing line, Ivy Park, and noted that she was trying to work “on her inner Beyonce.” If Queen Bey sends gifts, it is pretty much a requirement that the recipient post pics and publicize the new clothing drop. Halle had no problem doing a solid for someone that she looks up to!
“working on my inner beyonce in my #icypark ??,” Bailey captioned her sweet post.
Halle’s Ivy Park pics just so happens to coincide with the interview that her sister, Chloe and she did with Rolling Stone. The duo spoke extensively about their first introductions to the Queen’s music and meeting her personally.
“The messages were so empowering,” Halle said when discussing Beyoncé’s and Destiny Child’s music. “It was so inspiring. It made you want to be yourself, and it made you feel confident and free in being a woman.”
Both sisters said that the icon is one of the reasons they pursued music, but Chloe was the reason why Halle had the pleasure of meeting Bey in person. They met her when Chloe was cast as a younger version of Beyoncé’s character in the 2003 movie, “The Fighting Temptations.” Chloe described her as having “the best spirit” when she was introduced. Halle was only two or three years old when the film premiered, but she claims that she remembers flashes of the loving meeting moment.
Bey released the third Ivy Park x Adidas collection, a.k.a. “Icy Park,” over the weekend, and all her celebrity friends kept their fingers crossed that their clothing drop was in the mail. As we previously mentioned, the trade-off for receiving free gear is the unspoken requirement that recipients post and promote the new line. Something that Missy Elliott almost forgot to do!
In addition to Beyonce herself, Gucci Mane, Kash Paige, and Hailey Bieber were included in the official ads for the new gear but tons of influencers also received clothes. The long list includes stars like Ciara, Reese Witherspoon, Tracee Elliss Ross, and Viola Davis to name a few.
