The “Suge” rapper personally reached out to JoJo to make sure that she wasn’t offended by the namedropping in his new freestyle on February 21. DaBaby received tons of backlash online after seemingly dissing the 17-year-old “Dance Moms” alum but was forced to explain that the confusing lyric wasn’t negative towards the pop star. In fact, he hinted that the general public wasn’t bright enough to catch on to his clever wordplay.
The “ROCKSTAR” artist tweeted a lengthy message directed at the young star to extend the olive branch.
my 3 year old princess is your number 1 fan. I bought her every product you have out. She think she you,” DaBaby tweeted.
He continued, “Don’t let em trick you into thinking id ever have a problem with you. My word play just went over their heads. All love on my end shawty, Keep shinning!”

It all started when the rapper released the “Beatbox Freestyle,” which included a line with the 17-year-old’s name in it.
“Turn me up, n—-s gon’ see why N—-, you a bitch, JoJo Siwa (Bitch) You let the wrong n—- get rich”
Fans thought it was odd that a grown man would take a shot at a young pop star and flooded social media with confused thoughts about the lyric. Perez Hilton took up the charge for all Siwanators and tweeted, “#DaBaby is disrespecting our queen #JoJoSiwa! Oh, hell no!!!”
A few fans poked fun at DaBaby for starting something with JoJo. “Other rappers beefing with shooters and killers while DaBaby beefing with Jojo Siwa ??,” the fan joked.
Intuitive fans noted that DaBaby, real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, was referencing his own name while using “Siwa” as another way to say “see why.” He clarified this fact during his Twitter rant explanation.
“???? I love Twitter bruh,” he wrote when he started trending for the Siwa line. “I ‘Siwa’ I’m not like the rest of you n—–.”
Does it fully make sense? Maybe… but that’s why we leave the artistic expression to the artists. Just DON’T EVER COME FOR SIWA!
