Kendall Jenner Faces Criticism For Allegedly Photoshopping Her SKIMS Photo
American socialite Kendall Jenner recently had a photoshoot with her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner to commemorate the introduction of the Valentine’s Day collection of Kardashian’s SKIMS brand.
However, the photos shared have already caused a buzz on social media, with many accusing the model of photoshopping her snaps.
Per InTouch Weekly, some online fans wrote that they believe that Jenner photoshopped the snaps of her wearing the SKIMS collection, and therefore, was promoting an unattainable body image. The publication noted the concerns of one Instagram account named @problematicfame.
Analysis Of Kendall Jenner’s Body Proportions
The account above explained how they concluded that Jenner’s photos celebrating her sister’s collection were photoshopped.
A caption of a selfie of the red lingerie model from SKIMS explained that the picture was heavily photoshopped as the displayed body size was not Jenner’s real proportions. They further advised everyone to stop comparing their body to edited images as even Jenner does not look like that in real life.
The Instagram account continued to address the topic via their Instagram story and wrote that “no one’s belly button is just a tiny slit, and that nobody has a completely flat stomach 24/7.”
Everybody Is Gorgeous- Instagram User
The account added that everyone is gorgeous just as they are, and the photoshopping of pictures has to stop.
The account drew further attention to the selfie and shared that the smoothness around the bikini line is not only ridiculous but unattainable as normal girls have lines, razor bumps, discoloration and so on.
Amid the growing controversy, the account shared on Monday that it was merely their opinion that the Jenner selfie was photoshopped and encouraged their followers to note that many internet photos can be edited.
Starting The Holidays The Right Way
The account again wrote that Jenner is a gorgeous woman and that all body types are beautiful and should be appreciated.
Still, it is also important to remember that the internet is a combination of filtered and posed pictures. Jenner has not commented on the controversy surrounding her possibly photoshopped images.
On the lingerie collection launch, Kim Kardashian also posted some photos and video clips of herself, Kylie and Kendall Jenner wearing the new pieces. The three sisters jump-started the holidays by donning red pieces from the line.
The Big Launch For SKIMS
Kardashian shared with fans what they should expect from the “Valentine’s Day collection for SKIMS.”
Tagging photographer Sandy Kim in the photos, she wrote in the caption that the limited-edition lingerie is made from “Fits Everybody” material and comes in 2 bold colors, Poppy and Cherry Blossom.
She also shared that the underwear will be available to the public on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February 14 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET in sizes XXS – 4X.” To commemorate it all, she shared some behind the clips photos of herself and Kylie, and Kendall.
