Megan Thee Stallion is making fresh demands in her case against Tory Lanez!
The rapper has demanded that Tory be issued a restraining order amid his ongoing 10-year sentence for assaulting her.
Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez's legal battle began in 2020 when she accused him of firing a weapon in her direction, causing physical harm to her feet.
Megan Thee Stallion Moves To Stop Tory Lanez From Attacking Her Through Third Parties
In a petition filed by the hip-hop star in Los Angeles Superior Court, she asked the judge to stop the Canadian rapper from using third parties to unleash any form of harassment on her.
The suit claimed that Tory had engaged in and encouraged harassment before his imprisonment, adding that his current incarceration has not stopped the behavior.
"Even now, while behind bars, Mr. Peterson shows no signs of stopping. Despite being sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Ms. Pete, Mr. Peterson continues to subject her to repeated trauma and revictimization," her attorney explained.
According to Page Six, The petition referenced prison call logs from his cell at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, which allegedly proved that he had been orchestrating slander campaigns against her image.
The 'Hot Girl Summer' Rapper's Petition Identified Bloggers Acting On Behalf Of Tory
The filing noted that bloggers were acting on Tory's behalf to discredit her allegations by making false claims, including assertions that the gun and bullet fragments in the case were missing.
Her legal team added that the protective order issued to prevent the previous harassment is no longer effective, describing it as a loophole and a flaw in the criminal justice system.
The petition identified one blogger, Elizabeth Milagro Cooper, who is also being sued in a separate lawsuit, as acting as the artist's "puppet and mouthpiece."
Megan accused Cooper of using her social media platforms and YouTube to spread false accounts about her case with Tory.
According to the suit, Cooper posted a video on X, claiming, "Can you even prove she was shot?" and referred to Megan as a "professional victim" in another post.
The Canadian Native Issued A Statement Emphasizing His Innocence After His Verdict
Last August, The Blast reported that following Tory's sentence, which brought an end to his three-year legal battle, the rapper took to his Instagram story to pen an emotional statement.
Tory wrote, "I have never let a hard time intimidate me. I will never let jail time eliminate me." He reiterated his innocence while explaining why he took accountability for his actions in court. In his words:
"This week in court, I took responsibility for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved… that's it. In no way, shape, or form was I apologizing for the charges I'm being wrongfully convicted of."
He maintained his stance on refusing to apologize for something he did not do and vowed to clear his name.
Tory was convicted of three felonies in 2022, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Megan Clarified The Nature Of Her Intimate Relationship With Tory
Megan testified during the trial, declaring that Tory shot at her after they left a party at Kylie Jenner's Hollywood Hills home. She claimed that he fired the gun at the back of her feet and shouted for her to dance as she walked away from an SUV in which they had been riding.
The entertainer's relationship with Tory also came under scrutiny when she appeared on Gayle King's show in 2022, where she denied having a sexual relationship with the rapper.
Two years later, Megan reversed her statement in the new Amazon Prime documentary, "Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words," admitting that she had sex with Tory once or twice in a drunken state.
She explained that she initially lied because the question surprised her, quickly adding that it still does not justify Tory's actions against her.
Tory Lanez Announced Plan To Appeal After Megan Thee Stallion's Confession
Following the revelation in the documentary, Tory's team quickly responded to her confession. Ceasar McDowell, CEO of Unite the People, the nonprofit law firm that represents him, declared:
“The fact that Megan lied about her sexual relationship with Tory obviously makes her an unreliable witness. If someone lies in front of millions of people, how can you trust what they say any other time?”
The attorney affirmed that the rapper would appeal his sentence, stating that the motion "includes previous false statements made by Megan." This development came a year after the artist received his 10-year sentence.
Megan Thee Stallion is determined to keep her peace as the year ends!
