Travis discussed the Kansas City Chiefs' victory over the Cleveland Browns during Wednesday's episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce's podcast, "New Heights."
The game was extra special for Travis, marking only the second time in his illustrious career that he had played in his hometown. He expressed his love for Cleveland, saying, "I just love that city, man. It was so fun. When we flew in, I felt like a tour guide. I was telling everybody every single city that we were going past, every monument, every building."
Travis recalled how he and Jason, 37, grew up in Cleveland and the fun they had, which he appreciated. He shared on Page Six, "It's so crazy to drive to the stadium [Huntington Bank Field]. I had crazy flashbacks of going to — you know, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is right there on the same block, as well as the Science Center."
The NFL star said silly memories went in and out of his mind, which "felt so surreal." He added, "I don't know if it's the last time I'll ever play in Cleveland, but it kinda felt like I was just giving it one last hoorah before I'm done because I've only played there twice in 12 years."
Travis Kelce Doesn't Think He Will Play Again In Cleveland
Playing in Cleveland for the second time in his 12-year career felt special for Travis Kelce, but he is unlikely to play there again before he retires.
The podcaster acknowledged this, noting that he doesn't see himself playing in his native home again unless his team visits there in the next couple of years.
However, even that is unlikely to happen, given that the Chiefs and the Browns are not in the same division and don't typically have to play each other every season. Hence, they might not face off again until 2027, with that game most likely to take place in Kansas City.
Whatever happens, Travis enjoyed his time in Cleveland, contributing four catches on eight targets to help the Chiefs inflict a 21-7 defeat on the Browns.
Taylor Swift Misses Out On Travis Kelce's Homecoming
Travis's childhood friends and family watched him and his teammates as they surged to a commanding victory over their local team, but his girlfriend, Swift, was absent.
Swift's absence wasn't surprising as she has always missed Travis's away games since they began dating.
According to Daily Mail, the "Cruel Summer" singer was busy putting smiles on parents and children's faces at a Kansas City Children's Hospital. She made a shocking appearance, smiling and posing for pictures with them.
Swift visited the hospital a day before her 35th birthday and created lifelong memories for the kids and their parents, with one mom describing the songstress as "amazing."
Travis Spoils Swift On Her Birthday
Taylor Swift turned 35 two days before the Chiefs' game against the Browns, but Travis Kelce didn't hold back from marking the milestone.
According to Page Six, the lovebirds celebrated privately, with an insider revealing that the three-time Super Bowl champion lavished "a ton of gifts" on his sweetheart.
It was uncertain if Travis would be part of Swift's birthday plans as he was spotted attending the Kansas City Chiefs' Christmas party, but he left the event early to be with her.
Travis' NFL Career
Travis has enjoyed a successful NFL career. Before hitting the heights in the league, he played college football for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats football program.
In 2013, the Chiefs selected him in the third round of the NFL draft. He went on to win Super Bowls LIV, LVII, and LVIII with them, earning a reputation as one of the greatest players of all time in his position.
Travis became more popular when rumors of his relationship with Swift started spreading. The pair eventually confirmed their relationship in September 2023.
