Lindsey Buckingham is finally getting some protection from his alleged stalker.
The Fleetwood Mac member's obsessed fan has been served restraining order papers after he declared that his life was in danger and she was harassing his family.
Lindsey Buckingham claimed the harassment started in 2021 when the stalker obtained his wife's phone number and called her repeatedly.
Distance Did Not Stop Lindsey Buckingham's Stalker From Being Served
An LAPD Detective assisting on the case confirmed to the court that a deputy had served Lindsey's alleged stalker, a 52-year-old woman named Michelle, on December 2.
The stalker was reportedly served at an address in San Leandro, California, about a five-hour drive from Lindsey's L.A residence. Lindsey was granted a temporary restraining order against Michelle after he claimed she caused him and his family distress.
The stalker was also ordered to stay 100 yards away from the musician, his wife Kristen, and his son William Buckingham. Per In Touch, the decision to make the order permanent will be made at a hearing later this month.

Lindsey provided strong claims in his TRO application. The alleged harassment, which began in 2021, has reportedly exposed Kristen to several unwarranted calls from Michelle.
He claimed Michelle would curate "long drawn-out" texts posing to be Lindsey's daughter. Lindsey added that Michelle also issued dangerous threats to kill him and his family.
"She also blamed me for facial deformities she apparently suffered as a child and demanded money." He added, "I do not know [Michelle] and I am not her father."
Lindsey acknowledges that the police became involved in the matter. In 2022, they reportedly instructed the woman to stop contacting the musician.
When the messages stopped, Lindsey believed the situation was over, but he was rudely shocked to learn that Michelle had been contacting his son, William, since 2021.
The producer, Lindsey, disclosed that his son had been getting calls but was ignoring them. William kept mum about the calls until Michelle reemerged in 2024. He said he didn't tell Lindsey about the calls until Michelle showed up again in 2024.

This time, the stalker dropped a picture collage of Lindsey's face with her face in his home mailbox. Lindsey noted that Michelle also showed up at one of his L.A. homes on September 19.
Following the incident, he contacted the police, and she was warned never to show up on the property. However, things descended to a new low on November 3 when "nearly a dozen" police officers woke him up from sleep.
"When I answered the door, I was handcuffed and asked to step outside of my house. The reason given was that a 911 call had been received stating that my son William was in my house and [wanting to harm himself] and that the caller had heard gunshots," Lindsey said.
The guitarist noted that his house was ransacked for 20 minutes and he was left handcuffed outside in the cold. Lindsey stated that the experience left him "shaken and fearful" as he stepped back into his house. The police also realized the call was fake. He added:
"I now know that the 911 call was traced to [Michelle's] phone and was the latest in an unabated pattern of harassment and threatening acts against my family and me."

Lindsey did not handle Michelle's matter with levity. The legend dashed to court pleading for a restraining order and protection from the woman as soon as she made a reentry back into his life.
The musician urged the court to order Michelle to keep 100 yards away from him, his home, or any place he may be. He also asked that the order cover his wife, Kristen, and son, William.
"She is a stalker who has been harassing me and my family," he noted in the petition, adding, "I am very fearful that Michelle … without restraining, will continue this conduct which continues to make me and my family fear for our safety and peace."
The legendary guitarist concluded that her behavior may escalate into something "physically dangerous to me and my family."
Lindsey Buckingham Sued Former Bandmates For Unfairly Kicking Him Out Of The Group
The musician knows his way around the legal system; no wonder he has successfully kept his stalker restricted.
In 2018, The Blast reported that he dragged his former colleagues Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, and John McVie "for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of oral contract and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage."
According to the lawsuit in Los Angeles, the 75-year-old claimed he was due to earn $14 million in revenue after signing an agreement with the band to tour for two years and perform 60 concerts.
He claimed his efforts to get them to fix the tour date around his solo album problem were futile. He eventually rescheduled his solo gig, but the Fleetwood Mac manager called him right before the tour to inform him that the band was dropping him.
Lindsey Buckingham and his family will surely enjoy the festivities with the new order in place!
