Jay-Z Rape Accuser Stands By Her Allegations Despite Admitting She Made 'Mistakes' In Her Story

The woman who accused Jay-Z of raping her at the age of 13 has admitted to making some "mistakes" in her story but continues to insist the incident took place.

The alleged victim admitted this after her first interview with NBC News, where she explained that she chose to come forward after staying silent about her experience for too long.

In response, Jay-Z's lawyers criticized her attorney, Tony Buzbee, for failing to verify her claims before filing the lawsuit, firmly stating that the alleged rape "did not happen."

After speaking publicly for the first time about her alleged rape incident, Jay-Z's accuser has admitted that there were some inconsistencies in her account during her interview with NBC News.

"Honestly, what is the clearest is what happened to me and [the] route that I took to what happened to me. Not all of the faces there are as clear," said the woman who hails from Alabama. "So I have made some mistakes. I may have made a mistake in identifying."

According to the outlet, some of the mistakes in her story include her father's statement that he does not recall picking her up at a gas station after she fled the scene of the alleged assault, as she claimed.

Additionally, the accuser stated she had a conversation with a celebrity at the after-party where the assault reportedly occurred. However, it was later revealed that the celebrity was not at the party and was on tour at the time.

Despite these inconsistencies, the 38-year-old alleged victim maintains that her claims are not false and continues to stand by her allegations.

Following the alleged victim's admission of inconsistencies in her rape claim, Jay-Z's attorney submitted a statement to the court, dismissing the allegations as a "sham" and "patently false."

"Basic facts in her narrative — the who, what, when, and where — are wrong," the filing stated. "These stunning revelations make clear that the complaint filed by the plaintiff's attorney, Anthony Buzbee, had no factual basis whatsoever."

The legal team also criticized the alleged victim's lawyer for failing to conduct a "reasonable inquiry into the facts" before filing the claim against Jay-Z, adding that the allegations should never have been filed in the first instance.

The lawyers concluded the filing by stating their intention to immediately file a motion to strike the first amended complaint, which referenced the refiling of the lawsuit that initially named only Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Meanwhile, Buzbee has stated that his office is still vetting the alleged victim's claims. He also emphasized that not only does she stand by her story, but she has also agreed to submit to a polygraph test.

"Jane Doe's case was referred to our firm by another, who vetted it prior to sending it to us," he said in an email to NBC News. "Our client remains fiercely adamant that what she has stated is true, to the best of her memory. We will continue to vet her claims and collect corroborating data to the extent it exists."

He also noted that the entire situation has been "extremely distressing" for Jay-Z's accuser, who has experienced seizures and sought medical treatment due to the stress.

Buzbee further explained that he wasn't surprised by the father's lack of recollection, as the alleged victim had already pointed out that he was "in no state to remember" at the time due to personal issues he was facing.

Several days ago, Jay-Z firmly denied the rape allegations describing it as a "blackmail attempt" intended to pressure him into settling.

He also mentioned that he intends to expose his accuser's lawyer as a "fraud" in a very "public fashion," and he would not pay "one red penny" to settle the lawsuit.

According to the rapper, his research has shown that Buzbee has a "pattern of such theatrics," and he looks "forward to showing" him just how different he is from other celebrities.

Already, Jay-Z has filed a motion asking the court to dismiss the case if his demands if the victim intends to pursue it anonymously.

In the filing, he also stated that he was being sued because he refused to be extorted by the alleged victim and her lawyer.

According to the Daily Mail, a source revealed that Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, are determined to confront the accusations "head-on."

The singer is reportedly not surprised by the rape allegations against her husband, as she has long anticipated he might be linked to the scandals surrounding embattled rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs.

The Roc Nation boss and the Bad Boy Records founder are amicable, with Jay-Z frequently attending Diddy's famous White Parties, which some reports suggest may have involved "freak offs."

"This has been hanging over [Beyonce and Jay-Z's] head since Diddy's arrest," the insider said of the couple while referencing Diddy's September arrest on federal sex crime charges.

The source added, "It has been causing a strain on their marriage since the tape surfaced of Diddy assaulting Cassie. They have had many discussions about how it would play out if Jay were to ever be convicted of anything surrounding Diddy."
