Liam Payne allegedly berated a hotel employee as "useless" for failing to guide him to a source for drugs and frequently pressured staff "all the time" for alcohol.
The former member of the One Direction boy band is also said to have offered a sex worker $5000 to come to his hotel room.
These revelations come from a recently unearthed prosecution file surrounding Liam Payne's death, which includes leaked texts from his final hours.
The Late Singer Called A Bell Boy 'Useless' For Not Showing Him Where To Buy Drugs
A recently obtained prosecution file has revealed text messages detailing how Payne relentlessly pressured hotel staff in Buenos Aires for alcohol and information on where to buy drugs during his final hours, per the Daily Mail.
The file mentions that the singer "insistently" called down for alcohol, a claim made by Esteban Grassi, the hotel's chief receptionist, who is now formally under investigation.
Grassi also shared a text exchange with a bellboy, recounting an interaction where Payne insulted the bellboy for failing to provide drug-buying tips after delivering a fruit basket to his room.
"He invited me [in] to his room (which was a disaster, by the way) and asked me if I could get him cocaine," the bell boy said in the text, adding that he told the singer that he could not get that "type of service."
In response, Payne reportedly told the bellboy he was "useless" and requested that he leave his presence in a manner that was described as "not very polite."
Liam Payne Offered A Sex Worker $5,000 To 'Party' With Him In His Hotel Room
According to the outlet, leaked messages provided to prosecutors revealed that Payne had offered money to a sex worker to "party" in his hotel room.
The singer communicated with the escort via WhatsApp and sent her a link to his Instagram profile, seemingly to confirm his identity.
"I have all day... I'd gift you $5,000... US dollars," read the leaked message from Payne. "You come to my hotel, we party, just me and u."
After initially asking the escort to come alone, Payne changed his mind and later inquired if she wanted to bring a friend, whom he had noticed in her WhatsApp background.
"Who's your friend, do you want to bring her," to which the sex worker replied, "Let's go Noe [sic] until 7 pm, 5000 USD both, it's the whole day the two of us together."
Payne then responded with a confirmation of the deal, saying, "Ok fine but bank transfer."
Hotel Manager And Head Receptionist Are Facing Possible Charges
Earlier this week, newly obtained documents revealed that the judge presiding over Liam Payne's case ordered two additional individuals to be considered for charges.
According to Rolling Stone, the judge referred to them as "imputados," or "persons charged," and mentioned that there is "sufficient reason to suspect that they participated in the investigated act."
One of the individuals has been identified as the hotel manager at the Buenos Aires hotel where Payne stayed.
The second is reportedly the head receptionist, who made multiple 911 calls on the day of Payne's death, citing concerns about the singer's drunken behavior and potential danger to his safety.
Judge Will Decide On Bringing Charges Against New Suspects After Interrogation
While the exact charges being considered against the individuals remain unclear, both are expected to be formally notified of the accusations before appearing in court on December 19.
Before their probe, other suspects initially named in the case will be interrogated.
The first two suspects, accused of "serving" drugs to the late singer, are scheduled for questioning on December 17. Following this, Payne's friend, who faces allegations of abandonment, will be interrogated on December 18.
All suspects involved in the case have the option to refuse to answer questions, though this must be communicated through their attorneys.
After the questioning is complete, the judge will determine the next steps for each suspect, whether they "should be further prosecuted, dropped from the case, or if there is insufficient evidence to support either decision."
Liam Payne's Family Likely To Also Sue Individuals Linked To His Death
According to Page Six, Payne's family is poised to take legal action against anybody who might have had a hand in the singer's death.
The former One Direction bandmate member fell from the balcony of his third-floor room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Lawyers for the singer's family are said to already be in the country where they attended a court session.
Court documents obtained showed that the Paynes are being represented by music industry veteran lawyer Richard Bray, who is said to have handed over his legal interests to a local law firm in Buenos Aires.
A source who knew Payne's family shared that they were "100% sure" his parents, Geoff and Karen, and his siblings would want to seek justice for him if there was any foul play.
