Meri Brown is stepping into a new chapter in Utah. After officially ending her marriage to Kody Brown, she is prioritizing things that benefit her.

This fresh start follows a bittersweet moment when Kody helps Meri with her big move and reflects on the breakdown of their relationship. 

Meri Brown was the third to leave their plural marriage after Christine Brown and Janelle Brown.

Meri Brown Credits Her Furry Companion For Post-Kody Split Shining

The entrepreneur opened up about her journey, crediting her furry companion with kickstarting her transformation. "I got to take her out a couple of times a day and walk her, so thatdefinitely helped," Meri shared.

But it is not just about physical health—Meri's glow-up is rooted in an intentional shift toward fun, freedom, and ambition.

"Things are really good. I'm just doing all the things, just having fun and building businesses and taking adventures and my dog is a good road-tripper," she revealed. The reality star also detailed the inner work that helped her turn her life around after a difficult period. 

When asked during her interview with Extra about her turnaround moment, the star stated, "It was not really one particular moment, it was just kind of a process for me." She added:

"I had a very dark spot in my life, and then I was trying to turn that around. I was going to therapy, reading, journaling— all the things that you know are supposed to help promote growth."

Since her split from Kody in January last year, Meri has been pouring her energy into her motivational brand, Worthy Up, which she describes as a "glow up for the insides." Speaking about the platform, the 53-year-old shared:

"I am building a community of people who just want to remember their worth. I think that it's super important to remember who we are and what we're doing and that we're worthy of whatever it is that we want or what we want to do."

While focusing on self-growth and exciting adventures, Meri is not ruling out a fresh start in love. She is "perhaps" open to dating again but has clear standards for a potential partner.

"He's very confident in supporting me and what I'm doing and matches my energy. He can't be intimidated or bothered by what I do or who I am," she explained. With a newfound sense of purpose and self-worth, Meri is ready to embrace whatever comes next.

The mother-of-one's fresh start follows a touching moment when Kody helped her move away from their once-shared home. The family's patriarch faced a wave of emotions while helping Meri settle into her new home, which served as a reminder of the collapse of their union.

The Blast reported that in a preview for the November 24 episode of "Sister Wives," Kody was seen holding back tears. "OK, alright. Meri, it's the end of an era. It was a great run, but I'm not gonna let it get me down," he said, embracing Meri in a long hug.

Despite the emotional toll, the 55-year-old clarified that his feelings were not rooted in personal issues but he was acknowledging the significance of their time together.

In the preview, Kody also opened up about the emotional toll of their split, admitting, "We had something special. And it feels like it just all went to s–t sort of, and there's just one thing and another thing and another thing. It's OK. I don't feel like … I'm not bitter anymore. I'm not angry."

Even with the heartbreak, Kody expressed gratitude for the friendship they had salvaged. "I'm glad you're my favorite ex-wife," he told Meri, acknowledging the void left by their separation and the unraveling of the other relationships in his plural marriage.

Still, he supported Meri's decision to proceed, describing his help as a "goodwill gesture " and hoping it would strengthen their amicable bond.

Meri Brown Was Shocked By Kody's Emotional Reaction To Her Move

Meri admitted she was surprised by her ex-husband's emotional response to her decision to leave Arizona. Before helping her move, Meri had opened up about her conflicting feelings during the November 17 episode of TLC's "Sister Wives."  

She noted how unexpected it was to see Kody display such vulnerability after years of pushing her away. Reflecting on his reaction, she stated:

"I don't understand Kody. He's done everything in his power to push me away for the past decade. And now I'm moving, and he's like, 'Why are you doing it so early?' Why do you care? Isn't this what you wanted?"

Although Meri Brown's journey away from Kody Brown has been filled with heartfelt moments, she is proving that personal growth is her main focus.
