Singer Selena Gomez is engaged to her boyfriend Benny Blanco! The pair started dating around June 2023 and announced their engagement to the world on December 11, 2024.

Fans immediately started congratulating the happy couple, along with some of the pair's famous friends, like pop star Taylor Swift!

On Thursday, December 11, Selena Gomez took to Instagram to share a photo of her engagement ring. “Forever begins now,” she wrote in the caption.

“Hey wait… that’s my wife,” Benny Blanco teased in the comments. Elsewhere in the comments, friends of the couple immediately started jumping in to congratulate them, like Taylor Swift, who immediately called dibs on a certain role in the “Single Soon” singer’s wedding!

In the comments of her Instagram post, Taylor Swift commented, “Yes I will be the flower girl.”

The snapshot was shared by Comments by Celebs, which left fans reacting to Taylor’s comments. “Taylor for the flower girl and Steve/Martin as bridesmaids, please and thank you,” one fan wrote, referring to Steve Martin and Martin Short, Gomez’s two “Only Murders In The Building” costars.

“The way I’m thrilled for them and I don’t even know them in real life,” another follower wrote. “They have one of the best musician friendships ever. They’ve been by each other’s side since 2008,” a third fan chimed in.

In 2019, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco first started working together on the single “I Can’t Get Enough” with Tainy and J Balvin.

Their next collaboration came in August 2023, when Gomez released the track “Single Soon,” which Blanco produced.

Speculation of their relationship quickly surfaced online when she started liking posts that featured them together in December. In one post, she even commented, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.”

At the 2024 Emmys, which were held in January, the two made their red carpet debut. The following month, she spoke to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about their relationship.
