In 2024, reports surfaced that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. considered Rodgers as a potential vice-presidential candidate. "Have you thought about going into politics?" Kennedy inquired during the trailer of the upcoming docuseries.

At the time, Rodgers addressed the possibility, admitting, "I love Bobby. We had a couple of really nice conversations but there were really two options -- retire and be his VP or keep playing. I wanna keep playing."

As previously reported, RFK Jr. selected Nicole Shanahan, a Northern California-based attorney, as his running mate, officially introducing her during a press conference in March.

However, RFK Jr. later revealed that 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers was "high on the list" of potential picks for the role, alongside names like Jesse Ventura and Mike Rowe.

Rodgers has been outspoken about his dissatisfaction with the political system, calling it a "sham" and voicing frustration with its divisiveness. He has also questioned the effectiveness of political leaders, including Donald Trump, criticizing him for failing to deliver on promises like "draining the swamp."

"Yeah, I’m thankful for the last year. You know, when Gotham reached out after I got hurt we had a good conversation, and it was fun to have him along for the ride and Liam and Sarah and some really amazing people I got to meet along the way," Rodgers said during his appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show."

"It chronicles a lot of the rehab; it chronicles a trip down to Costa Rica where we did Ayahuasca. There is some great backstory stuff you know from my 18 years in Green Bay and some interesting interviews. So yeah, I mean it’s pretty wide open, it’s talking about all different types of topics in the episodes."

"It was definitely vulnerable to open up and allow them to be around and to take them to some of these things but yeah, I’m excited," the NFL quarterback added. "I haven’t seen the final cuts or anything, but you know I’m thankful for the people I’ve met in the process and that there’s this history of the most difficult and most rewarding year of my life, kind of now to go back and look at in 20 years."

The series explores Aaron Rodgers' life, describing it as "between two worlds of the extroverted and an introverted lover of silence."

"I'm trying to beat back Father Time and the expectations," the 41-year-old said in the trailer, followed by a montage highlighting his career. "I'm not most people," he added.

The documentary features moments of Rodgers clashing with opponents and even throwing a sideline tantrum during his time with the Green Bay Packers, where he earned four MVP awards and a Super Bowl victory. "Aaron Rodgers ain't for everybody," Stephen A. Smith is heard saying over the footage, which then shifts focus to Rodgers' polarizing political views.
