Comedian Matt Rife has clarified that the changes in his appearance are not the result of plastic surgery.
The 29-year-old has long been the subject of plastic surgery rumors, particularly regarding his recent chiseled look.
In his new book, "Your Mom's Gonna Love Me," Matt Rife denies these claims, explaining that his facial transformation and body changes are due to delayed puberty.
The Comedian Said The Changes Happened Within Months
Rife has fired back at peddlers of conspiracy theories about him going under the knife to achieve his chiseled looks.
The comedian addressed the claims in his new book, explaining that the changes people perceived as the result of plastic surgery were actually just a case of puberty finally catching up with him.
"Puberty, after its sweet time for more than 20 years, finally decided to hit me square in the face," Rife penned in the tome, per Page Six.
According to the "Burb Patrol" star, he went from having the looks of "a 13-year-old" to looking "like an actual grown-ish man" in line with his real age within months.
Rife also shared some of the changes that actually occurred, revealing that his face got "wider" while his features became "more prominent."
The "That '90s Show" star also added that he grew taller, although it was just by a few inches from his previous height.
Matt Rife Claims Hitting The Gym Also Spurred His Transformation
Aside from acknowledging puberty for his changed looks, Rife also shared that hitting the gym played a part.
"I started every day off by lifting," the actor said, adding that he had his friend and fellow comic Dane Cook as his workout companion.
According to the Netflix star, his workout routine also served as a form of therapy that "cleared" his head.
He did acknowledge that he was well aware of the rumors about him undergoing plastic surgery, labeling them as "a million-and-one internet conspiracies."
While the rumors from fans didn't bother him, Rife shared that he was disappointed when some plastic surgeons also fueled the rumors, calling it a "frightening lack of common sense."
On a lighter note, the comedian claimed that his comedy career suffered a decline due to the transformation in his looks.
"As a comic, you're supposed to make the audience like you, right?" the "Elevator" star joked in the book. "Well, who the f-ck likes attractive people? No one!"

According to TMZ, the 28-year-old comedian called it quits on his relationship with his girlfriend, Jessica Lord.
Rife and Lord initially met in 2022 in Mississippi but started seeing each other in June of the following year, as the dancer was with someone when they first met.
A source told the news outlet that the pair broke up in March and that the decision to end things was amicable.
The duo's relationship had simply run "its course," and Rife has remained single ever since. He has turned his attention towards work and is "focusing on his stand-up tour."
