Madonna has a reason to smile again this Thanksgiving, thanks to her father!

The singer revealed that spending the festivities with her dad and her family was just what she needed to address the gloominess of losing her brother.

Madonna has enjoyed an intense relationship with her father, Silvio Ciccone, often acknowledging him for influencing her success and being her first heartbreak.

Madonna Showers Heartwarming Tributes On Her Father For Thanksgiving

The superstar took to social media to shine the light on her father's and her family's strength, who have remained positive despite suffering mulitple losses this year.

She uploaded various slides of herself and various members of her family on her Instagram, including pictures of her children. The award-winning singer began the caption with:

"We are born into families and we create our own. As time goes by I am more and more appreciative of these microcosms of life that Dance around me and teach me lessons every day."

Madonna noted that her family has experienced many losses this year, especially her father, who she noted has endured the losses with Dignity. Concluding the heartwarming message, the Queen of Pop wrote:

"Watching him cry in the cemetery when we buried my brother Christopher -right after he lost his wife. Was a moment I will never forget. Spending time with him and all my children on Thanksgiving was Medicine for the Soul."

Madonna once again proved she is a true daddy's girl when she shared a close-up picture of her father on her Instagram Story and raved about how adorable he looked.

As reported by The Blast, Madonna tagged the image as her father's "first selfie!" and even mistakenly labeled his age out of her sheer excitement.

"94 years young!!!" the singer wrote. However, Silvio actually turned 93 this June, and the star celebrated the occasion with a series of images on her Instagram.

The first set of images captured her hugging her dad backstage at one of her events. Meanwhile, the other pictures showcased their decades-long bond, including a throwback snap of the duo onstage during a performance.

"To the O.G Daddy — Happy 93rd Birthday, Silvio! Congratulations for riding the roller coaster of life with humor and sanity intact. Thank you for sharing your mantra in life with me, which is: 'I'm gonna go until the wheels fall off,'" Madonna partly captioned the post.

She also honored Silvio on Father's Day 2023, where she shared an old image of him alongside a lovely caption which read:

"Happy Father's Day to. All the Dad's out there!!! She's, He's, Them's, and They's!! But Most of All to my Father — Silvio — who once told me he was gonna go until the wheels fell off!! S.A.M.E."

She thanked Silvio for his "unrelenting work ethic and Love and for refusing to spoil me in any way. You taught me how to be a Survivor! Forever Grateful. But also really tired……xxxxxxxx."

Despite the immense show of love, Madonna has confessed to having days when her father's love did not feel enough. In an interview, she described him as the first man to break her heart when he married the nanny. Madonna described the period as a challenging and emotional time for her.

She recalled how her younger self always stuck by dad and hoped he would always be there. The heartbreak, however, set in when he got married.

Madonna noted that she felt a great sense of loss and promised to become self-reliant since then. The singer's mom, Silvio's wife, died from breast cancer at age 30 on December 1, 1963.

The actress was named after her late mother, Madonna Louise. Madonna also grew up alongside other siblings from her parents: Anthony, Martin, Paula, Christopher, and Melanie.

As The Blast previously reported, Madonna confirmed the death of her younger brother, who passed away on October 4, over a year after their oldest sibling died from a series of health issues on Instagram with a touching post.

Quite the connoisseur of memories, the pop star shared several images of herself and Christopher growing through the years and sharing close bonds.

Madonna captioned the images with details about the nature of their relationship, writing: "My brother Christopher is gone. He was the closest human to me for so long. It's hard to explain our bond."

The star explained that their complex bond "grew out of an understanding that we were different and society would give us a hard time for not following the status quo. We took each other's hands, and we danced through the madness of our childhood." She continued:

"In fact, dance was a kind of superglue that held us together. Discovering Dance in our small Midwestern town saved me, and then my brother came along, and it saved him too."

Madonna praised Christopher for his support and defying the "Roman Catholic Church, the Police, the Moral Majority, and all Authority figures that got in the way of Artistic freedom!"She described him as "a painter, a poet, and a visionary,"adding that she deeply admired him. 

"He had impeccable taste. And a sharp tongue, which he sometimes used against me, but I always forgave him. We soared the highest heights together and floundered in the lowest lows. Somehow, we always found each other again, and we held hands, and we kept dancing.'" Madonna added.

The "Like A Prayer" singer confessed that their bond had waned in the last few years, stating: "We did not speak for some time, but when my brother got sick. We found our way back to each other. I did my best to keep him alive as long as possible. He was in so much pain towards the end."

She noted that they shared one last dance after they reconnected and amid his illness. "I'm glad he's not suffering anymore." the star concluded.

It's great to see Madonna radiating again as she shares the season's joys with her loved ones!
