Nelly & Ashanti Reportedly Pregnant With Second Baby 3 Months After Welcoming Their Son

Another bun in the oven? Nelly and Ashanti are reportedly gearing up to be parents for the second time!

The power couple have allegedly set the wheel rolling on getting a younger sibling for their son just three months after announcing his arrival.

Nelly confirmed he was back together with Ashanti last September and described the reconciliation as a pleasant surprise.

Rumor mills are spinning fiercely about the superstar couple, who are now reportedly pregnant with another child a few months after welcoming their bundle of joy in July.

The source also confirmed that the couple secretly tied the knot last December and have waxed stronger since welcoming their son Kareem Kenkiade Haynes.

In addition to Haynes and this alleged new baby,  the artist is dad to son Cornell Ill (who goes by Tre), 25, and daughter Chanelle (who goes by Nana), 30. He also assumed the role of a father to his niece Sydney and nephew Shawn after his sister, Jackie Donahue, died in 2005.

It is no secret that Nelly and Ashanti have gathered a huge fan base since rekindling their romance. Now, the fans have many things to say about the new shocking development.

"That's how you do it. Don't waste your time. She waited 20 years for true love," one user wrote in agreement to Ashanti and Nelly's quick decision if true.

Another fan applauded the move and shared a personal experience, writing: "My kids are 15 months apart! Back-to-back is the best way to do it. Congrats!" This commenter joked that the couple could not "wait the required 6 weeks!" as another declared, "That baby is 17 hours old."

Should the couple confirm or deny the reports, it is safe to say the majority are rooting for more babies from their union.

"Ashanti and Nelly welcomed their baby boy, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, on July 18, 2024. The proud and happy parents are so in love with KK!" a rep for the couple shared in a statement to PEOPLE.

The elated mom then took to Instagram to confirm the news of Haynes's arrival by sharing a mirror selfie of her four weeks post-delivery. Ashanti looked ravishing in a blue robe and Frida Mom disposable underwear, writing:

"Four weeks postpartum. You have no idea what this body can do."

The singer admitted that while she had looked forward to becoming a mom for the longest time, nothing could have prepared her for the experience of motherhood.

"This is what postpartum looks like I'm loving these super cozy @fridamom shorts! I'm so proud of my body for giving me my baby, baby, baby, baby, baby," the 44-year-old concluded in the post.

If the rumors are true, Nelly will be around for the birth of his second baby, as authorities confirmed a few weeks back that they will not be pressing charges against him for ecstasy arrest.

As reported by The Blast, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office spokesperson declared: "We don't believe the facts in this case warrant the issuing of charges."

His legal representative, Scott Rosenblum, also confirmed that "Wesley Bell, the prosecuting attorney, and his office looked at all the circumstances and, after a fair and impartial review of the evidence, declined to prosecute."

Nelly was reportedly arrested at his favorite casino in Missouri in August on an existing warrant from 2018. He was taken to jail after the police found him in possession of four ecstasy pills. His lawyer shared that the hip-hop legend was paraded around the casino in handcuffs following the arrest.

Nelly's arrest went down as soon as he cashed out his massive earnings from the Hollywood Casino in St. Charles. According to the rapper's lawyer, his mouth-watering win attracted the arresting officers, who claimed they needed to run a background check before handing him the cash.

Rosenblum shared that his client had won larger amounts at the exact location without going through scrutiny from the cops. However, he still showed cooperation by agreeing to the investigation.

Unfortunately for the rapper, the background check returned positive, revealing that he had an active warrant running from 2018 for flouting a traffic rule.
