Snoop Dogg is gearing up for a Thanksgiving celebration packed with delicious traditional dishes, quality time with family, and perhaps even a few costume surprises.
During a recent appearance on "Let's Go!" with Bill Belichick, Maxx Crosby, Peter King & Jim Gray, the iconic rapper, who is a proud father of four and grandfather to nine, shared his plans for the holiday.
While Snoop Dogg didn't go into full detail about his grandkids' involvement, he did mention that Martha Stewart sent them some goodies.
What Thanksgiving Looks Like For Snoop Dogg And His 9 Grandkids
The musician previously revealed that he has 12 grandchildren and shared that he now has "a lot of grandkids," making the holidays even more meaningful.
"I got like nine grandkids. So I really enjoy my time with them. We pull out jumpers and have little things for them," Snoop added.
"I get to be a character that day. I may put on a costume and dress up and not even be Paw-Paw," he continued. "I may be a character all day, maybe Buzz Lightyear or some sh-t, you know what I'm saying?"
Martha Stewart Lends A Helping Hand To Snoop Dogg For Thanksgiving
Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg’s friendship is a fascinating and lasting one that has captured the public’s attention for years. It all started in 2008 when the two first appeared together on "The Martha Stewart Show," and their instant connection was clear.
Despite coming from vastly different worlds—Martha as a renowned lifestyle expert and Snoop as an iconic rapper—they quickly bonded over their shared love of food, entertaining, and great conversation. “You know, Martha [Stewart] sent me some sh-t that I don’t know how to cook," the 53-year-old rapper said on the podcast. "My family gonna keep it real basic. We're gonna go with the old turkey, the ham, the stuffing, the dressing."
Their undeniable chemistry led to several collaborations, most notably their hit show "Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party," which debuted in 2016.
Snoop Dogg Admits He’s Dressed Up As Baby Shark For His Grandkids
Snoop Dogg has earned many nicknames over the years, but there's one that’s special—it's reserved exclusively for his grandkids.
In an interview with PEOPLE, the 52-year-old rapper opened up about his deep gratitude for fatherhood and the joy of being a grandfather. Snoop is the proud father of sons Corde, 30, Cordell, 27, and Julian, 26, as well as daughter Cori, 25, whom he shares with his wife of many years, Shante Broadus, his high school sweetheart.
In addition to his four children, Snoop is also a grandfather to several grandkids. He revealed that he’s gone all out, dressing up as some iconic characters just to make them smile.
"Papa Snoop, that's who I am, and I love being that," he told PEOPLE. "I be dressing up for their birthday parties, like He-Man, Baby Shark or whoever. I be complaining, but I love it. I love being a grandpa. It's an accomplishment."
Snoop Dogg's Grandkids Give Him An Adorable Nickname
Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg shared the name his grandkids call him during an appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show."
"What do your grandkids call you?" Hudson asked him, which is when he revealed that the name was chosen by one of his grandchildren for the first time. "Well, he was the first one to name me," Snoop said of his grandson, Zion. "He used to call me Papa Noop, because he couldn't say Snoop, so he started calling me Papa Noop. And then as time went by, he learned how to say Snoop, so now I'm Papa Snoop."
Snoop Dogg Will Do Anything For His Grandkids
Snoop Dogg goes above and beyond for his grandkids. During an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," he revealed that he often goes undercover at their birthday parties to ensure all the attention is on them, not on their famous grandfather.
“When I first started going to my grandkids’ parties, the parents would rush me … So I had to figure out a way to take Snoop Dogg out of the party,” he explained, adding that he dresses up according to the party theme and stays in costume the entire time.
Over the years, he’s dressed as a giraffe, a shark, and even “Buzz Lightworth,” as Snoop humorously refers to the "Toy Story" character.
