Leonardo DiCaprio Not Engaged To Model Girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, Close Source Claims

Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has yet to pop the question to his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti.

Recently, rumors circulated that the actor had proposed to the Italian-born model, whom he was first linked to in August 2023.

Reports have since confirmed that the engagement rumors were false, although Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti remain strong as a couple.

Recently, rumors spread that DiCaprio had officially taken himself off the market by proposing to his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti.

The rumors reportedly began on the popular fan-fueled gossip feed Deux Moi from an emailed tip.

It quickly went viral, with many fans of the actor taking to social media to congratulate him on his new chapter.

However, a close source has now dismissed the engagement news as "nothing more than an internet rumor," confirming that the actor has not yet popped the question.

According to Page Six, the source also noted that engagement rumors about the "Wolf of Wall Street" star "come up every month," suggesting that such claims should not be taken seriously unless they come directly from DiCaprio himself.

Despite the engagement rumors now appearing to be false, DiCaprio and Ceretti are still going strong.

The couple were first linked in August 2023 and spotted dancing intimately at a nightclub in Ibiza the following month. Since then, they have been seen together publicly on a number of occasions.

Ceretti has also turned up for Dicaprio's birthday milestones since the start of their romance.

Last year, she was present at DiCaprio's 49th birthday, where they were described as "affectionate and kissing throughout the night," according to People Magazine.

For DiCaprio's 50th birthday in Los Angeles, Ceretti made another appearance alongside the actor's A-list friends, including Tobey Maguire, Casey Affleck, Chris Rock, and Steven Spielberg.

During the event, Ceretti was spotted nearby as Stevie Wonder serenaded DiCaprio on the piano with a rendition of "Happy Birthday."

Last November, reports surfaced suggesting that DiCaprio had chosen to keep his romance with Ceretti exclusive.

"It's going so well that Leo's actually being exclusive," a source told US Weekly. "Vittoria is all he thinks about."

The source also shared that the couple has a "ton in common," which has made it easy for their relationship to flourish. Additionally, the significant age gap of more than 20 years between the Hollywood star and the model has posed no issues for them.

Regarding DiCaprio's massive fame, the insider confirmed that Ceretti isn't "intimidated" by it, and the actor finds this "refreshing."

Earlier this year, sources also confirmed that DiCaprio was serious about Ceretti unlike the casual relationships he has had in the past.

"She is very cute, sweet and charming. Leo seems to really like her," a source told People Magazine in April.

Following DiCaprio's birthday celebrations, the actor sparked controversy for ignoring a reception organized for him during his recent trip to Fiji.

The serenade was organized by the hotel staff where he stayed in Nadi, but instead of embracing it, the actor chose to ignore everyone as he made his way out of the hotel, seemingly heading elsewhere.

While it remains unclear why the actor was in the country, his actions appeared to have been recorded by someone at the hotel and later uploaded to TikTok.

Once the Fiji hotel video went viral, DiCaprio's behavior sparked a wave of criticism from social media users, with many labeling him as "disrespectful" and a "snob."

Someone remarked, "Ohhh, what a snob. At least he should have acknowledged the welcome by our country. No place like Fiji." while another commented, "Why did he ignore the people? A little bit of smile and wave will do."

A third user commented, "LEONARDO - SHOULD'VE ACKNOWLEDGED THE FIJI WELCOMING PARTY."

A fourth remarked, "Don't waste your energy, my fiji whānau, he's so disrespectful, omg," while another individual penned, "Leonardo, you so bad respect the one who appreciates you in their own nation."
