'Mormon Wives' Star Taylor Frankie Paul's Soft-Swinging Scandal Resurfaces: Drama Reignites TikTok Buzz

There's no lack of drama for fans of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" as they await season 2 to be released in spring 2025.

Not long after the leader of MomTok, Taylor Frankie Paul, shaded her fellow Mormon moms on social media because they seemingly ignored her big moment on the CMAs, has another extreme drama begun.

As fans are aware, Paul's soft-swinging scandal had many talking, and now years later, the drama is resurfacing on TikTok as one of the other Utah moms involved in the scandal has entered the chat. Kenna Gibbons, who wasn't part of season 1 of the Hulu hit series, has shared multiple TikTok videos giving her side of the swinging scandal and fans are here for it!

Two years after Paul's soft-swinging scandal went viral, it's being revisited from a different point-of-view. Gibbons recently took to TikTok to share multiple videos where she "talks soft-swinging."

After explaining that "this is jumping from my last video, which ended at my end of second year of marriage, and this is jumping forward to the last four months of my marriage before I filed for divorce."

Being married nearly seven years, Gibbons explains that there was a "big gap" between her videos.

"These are easily my biggest mistakes in life that I'm talking about publicly, so it's not easy. I do think it's important, I think so many people can learn from my mistakes, which is why I share," she said. "Let's start from when we met them."

Them, meaning Taylor Frankie Paul and her now ex-husband, Tate, and another couple, (although she never names any of them outright.) She said she met "couple one and couple two" in February 2022. A few weeks after meeting, "drunk card games" started to be played. About a month after meeting, the men planned a two-night cabin trip. Night two is when the "first of two swinging instances happened."

Blaming drinking too much, Gibbons said she "made my choices." She said that her and her then husband and couple one "switched partners and soft-swinging happened." She also claims to not "remember all of the details."

It wasn't long after that first swinging instance that Gibbons called out her husband for noticing he had feelings for the wife in "couple one." (If you're following along on this drama, you know she means Paul.)

"And he said, 'Oh, actually, I talked to her after the cabin, and we both recognize that we get along really well and that things could grow. We both don't want to go down that route because we're happy in our marriages,'" she explained. "A couple weeks later, we're at couple one's house, and it was just like a normal house party and that's when the second and final instance of soft-swinging happened."

Gibbons said she told her husband that if this is something he wants, they can just divorce, because she's not doing it anymore. She also explained that later that week, she visited couple one's wife to talk about things and announce she will no longer participate.

"That was the only conversation we ever had about soft-swinging. There was never any boundaries as a group that was talked about or within my marriage of oh, here are the boundaries, here are the parameters, here are the rules."

Gibbons said this is the point when her marriage "took a turn."

Gibbons shared five consecutive videos talking about the scandal and her side of it all.

Fast forward to part 5, Gibbons concluded her story talking about how she went "home" to see her parents and her sister while fighting back tears. She told her family that her husband was having an affair and then came clean about her drinking and swinging.

"My parents were so amazing in this moment They didn't even know that I had been drinking and then I just word vomit everything on them," she continued. "And I know how disappointed they were, I was so disappointed in myself and so ashamed."

Many viewers took to the comment sections of her videos to leave their thoughts.

"Giiiiirl wow. This story line is a little different from the one we’ve all heard previously from the *other couple* I am so sorry you went through this heartbreak," one person wrote. Another added, "I think you all played your part and made choices that you’re forced to grow from. Remember you’re always on the right path even when you feel like you made a wrong turn."

One other viewer pointed out, "This very much feels like a storyline for s2 and honestly I don’t even want it. They should’ve done it the first season or left it alone."

Paul then shared her own TikTok video in response to Gibbons' and shared her receipts.

"She never asked to stop, she was one of the instigators, and sent HER husband to get me, but tell your side sis," is written on the video of Paul dancing and lip syncing to "Bulletproof" by La Roux.

To reiterate her side of the story, she captioned the video, "Well she deserves an acting award. The amount of times SHE wanted to play."

Paul's video quickly went viral with more than 2.3 million views and thousands of comments.

"TAYLOR, I NORMALLY TAKE MY TEA IN THE MORNINGGGGG," one fan wrote. Another added, "THIS IS SO MESSY I AM HERE FOR IT."

In the video, Paul shows screenshots of her receipts - a video of her and Gibbons kissing, pictures of her with Gibbons and her husband (with a clown emoji over his face), and text messages.

"The visual representation of 'if you lie about me, I’ll tell the truth about you' season 2 is going to be pipin," one viewer wrote in the comments.

Another said, "Real question is what storage plan do you pay for? Because damn you got receipt saved, as a fellow Gemini I'm dying." Paul responded to that comment, "I knew there would be a day I’d have to defend some lies. Took two years but here we are."
