Grammy-winning artist Meghan Trainor is keeping it real and unapologetically candid about her plans for self-care and body confidence.
The Grammy-winning singer recently revealed she's planning to "get a boob job" after noticing changes from breastfeeding her son Riley and shedding a few pounds.
Meghan Trainor also shared that her decision to pursue breast augmentation was influenced by her recent challenges with finding clothes that fit well.
Meghan Trainor Reveals Why She’s ‘Getting A Boob Job’
During the Wednesday, November 20, episode of her "Workin’ On It" podcast, Meghan Trainor, 30, candidly announced, “I’m getting a boob job.” Reflecting on the changes her body has gone through, she explained, “My mommy boobies were full of milk and now they’re empty and then they’re full of milk and now they’re empty. They got big, they got small, they got big, they got small.”
Trainor went on to share, “I’ve lost some weight and I have, like, saggy sacks as boobs.” The singer is mom to sons Riley, born in 2021, and Barry, born in 2023, both of whom she shares with her husband, Daryl Sabara.
“What’s really difficult is when I’m trying on all these amazing outfits for tour and for shows coming up, I have to wear the most supportive bras,” she added. “It could ruin the outfit and they squeeze my sides. I’ve always joked and said for years, like, ‘I can’t wait till I can get a boob job!’”
The "Made You Look" singer said she "wanted this my whole life" so she is "gonna have boobies that don’t look at the floor and it’s gonna be huge."
"They’re not gonna be big, sorry, they’re going to be tiny," she added. "I mean, it’s going to be huge for my confidence.”
Meghan Trainor Is Only Going To Have A 'Left'
Trainor clarified that her plans for cosmetic surgery are modest, stating she intends to have only a “lift.”
“And maybe a little implant so they are like, ‘We are boobs,’ because right now they are not,” Trainor said on the podcast. “I love them, love my body. I’ve been wanting this for years. I did a lot of consults … [and] saw multiple doctors, took my managers to help me decide because they’re my best friends in life.”
In an earlier episode of her podcast in August 2023, Trainor disclosed that she has been receiving Botox injections for several years. “I just want to freeze myself right here, I want to look like this forever,” she quipped at the time. “But I don’t need Botox as much as they say. Mine lasts so long, it’s great.”
Meghan Trainer Is An Advocate For Body Positivity
Trainor, known for her strong stance on body positivity, acknowledged that she had to revisit her own principles after navigating pregnancy weight gain and the challenges of childbirth.
“There was a lot of bad self-talk in my household [growing up],” she told Yahoo! Life in a 2023 interview. “My mom is very hard on herself and my dad is like a jokester, but not in a good way. If he’s trying to give you advice on something, he’ll kind of pick on you and that’s his way of like, helping you. But it’s traumatic. I took him to therapy back in the day so he knows.”
She added, “I’m trying to rewire my brain so that my future daughter and son don’t think like that as well.”
Meghan Trainor Opens Up About Her Second Pregnancy
In 2023, the pop star confirmed to PEOPLE that she and her husband, Daryl Sabara, were expecting their second child.
"What a blessing," she told the outlet. "I'm just so grateful I can get pregnant. And I'm like, 'I'm crushing it. This is amazing. This is my dreams.' I'm halfway there — I want four kids!"
"It's like a real pregnancy," she added of her second pregnancy. "The first one was like make-believe. I had no symptoms with Riley to the point where I was like, 'We need to go to the doctor. There's nothing in me.' I got my symptoms late in my pregnancy with Riley."
"I got them a right away with this baby. I got red perioral dermatitis all over my face — so that's been fun with makeup — and popped early and was very nauseous," she continued. "I was sick, my boobies were aching. This one was a ride. It was a rocky ride, but luckily it was during the holidays, so I could just chill and lay down. I pee every 20 minutes, and I'm fully out of breath just from talking. It's great."
Meghan Trainor's Second Pregnancy Came With Cravings
During her second time, she shared that experienced cravings for the first time, describing them as "everything and everything," she quipped.
"I didn't feel extra hungry with Riley. This time I'm like, 'I need a pickle.' Even if I'm having chocolate or sweets, it needs to be followed with a pickle. It's weird, but it's great," Trainor added. "I'll eat a whole meal, and then I'll be like, 'I could keep going.'"
