Kim Kardashian Faces Backlash For Wearing A Rosary In New SKIMS Underwear Ad

Kim Kardashian's recent Instagram post featuring SKIMS lingerie and a rosary necklace has sparked backlash online.

While the rosary was not the focal point of the underwear campaign, fans couldn't help but criticize the reality TV star for mixing religious symbols with revealing attire.

The photoshoot comes after Kim Kardashian's candid remarks on the parenting challenges she faces while Kanye West seemingly remains largely absent from their children's lives.

In her latest Instagram post, Kim Kardashian posed in a striking white lingerie set from SKIMS, accessorized with a rosary necklace - a sacred object in Catholicism that is traditionally used during the rosary prayer, which comprises of the Apostles' Creed, the Our Father, Hail Mary, and other prayers.

The 44-year-old California native showcased the new design from her collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, dubbed D&GxSKIMS.

Kardashian was featured posing in four stunning images for the lingerie collection, which aims to combine everyday comfort with elevated sensuality.

The caption of her post read: "Dolce&Gabbana and SKIMS unite to reveal curve-enhancing pieces for everyday confidence and unmatched sensuality. The limited-edition collection launches on Tuesday, November 19 at 9 AM ET on SKIMS.com, in SKIMS stores and select #DolceGabbana boutiques."

Kardashian's post stirred controversy, with fans voicing their disapproval in the comments.

One follower criticized, "Why is she always wearing the cross when she's half naked..like wtaf[?]."

Another echoed the sentiment, writing, "Wearing a cross while being half naked. Would you make a mockery out of other religions, too?"

Others expressed concerns about her role as a parent, with one user commenting, "This is what her kids see when they go on social media!! Do you think they ever wonder why their mom is not like their friend's moms who wear clothes, not just underwear?!!"

A fourth person said, "Nothing about you is holy. Take the rosaries off, lol."

The Instagram post comes after Kardashian opened up about the challenges of parenting solo while speaking with her close friend Zoe Winkler on the "iHeart What The Winkler?" podcast.

Winkler described Kardashian's situation as "insane," to which the reality star agreed.

The SKIMS founder explained that she often feels like a single parent, particularly as her ex-husband, Kanye West, has been in Japan for months with his new wife, Bianca Censori.

The mom of four admitted that she doesn't often discuss her parenting struggles because of the intense judgment it can bring.

"You and I have mostly connected on parenting and judgment, and you know, feeling like sometimes you're in this alone," Kardashian said, per Daily Mail.

She also revealed the weight of raising her children largely by herself, saying, "I'm basically raising four kids by [herself] here."

During the chat, Kardashian also opened up about the challenges of motherhood, comparing herself to a "pit stop for a race car driver" as she balances her demanding life.

She admitted that despite having a strong support system, she feels overwhelmed at times.

"Even though we have great support systems and we have people around us, but sometimes in the middle of the night when [the kids are] all sleeping in your bed, kicking you and crying and waking up, like, it is…," she said, trailing off.

Kardashian continued: "It's not something I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment. Or people will always jump to the, 'Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.'"

However, she noted that one thing she prioritizes above all is driving her four kids to school every morning, calling it an essential bonding ritual.

"That's what's really important to me… driving them to school every single day is just what I have to do no matter what [my] work schedule [is]," she shared.

A source recently told People Magazine that Kardashian is essentially living as a single mom, with her life revolving around her four children.

The insider explained that West, 47, is often absent, leaving Kardashian to handle most parenting responsibilities.

"Kanye is sadly not around very much. She's pretty much a single mom," the source shared. "Although she has help, it's still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything."

They added: "Kim's life is around her kids' schedules. When they are in school, she works. When they are off, she's very much focused on being a mom."

As for her personal life, the insider noted that the billionaire isn't pursuing romance at the moment.

"She's not dating anyone right now," the source said. "It's all about work and her kids."
