Conor McGregor will not be seeing the four walls of the prison yard despite being found liable for his sexual assault charge.
The professional boxer escaped incarceration and got slammed with paying off a huge sum in damages instead after the jury decided that he was involved in a sexual assault incident.
Conor McGregor was accused of brutally raping and battering a woman in a Dublin hotel back in 2018, and he initially debunked the report, claiming the act was consensual.
Conor McGregor's Judgement Took 6 Hours+ By The Jury
The sportsman's verdict comes after a two-week trial featuring eight days of evidence at Dublin High Court. A jury consisting of eight men and four women pronounced that McGregor had sexually assaulted Nikita Ni Laimhin, also known as Nikita Hand, but the silver lining is he would not be sentenced.
The process reportedly took six hours and 10 minutes for the decision to be reached, and McGregor will have to pay $257,000 in damages to the victim.
As The Mirror shared, Hand sued McGregor for sexual assault following an encounter in December 2018 where she claimed McGregor "brutally raped and battered" her in a tear-jerking testimony.
She added that she was put in a chokehold by the former UFC champion multiple times, tearfully revealing she feared she would never see her daughter again.

McGregor began the process to clear his name by claiming the sexual act was purely consensual and admitted to taking cocaine with Hand.
He also claimed to have gone to his friend James Lawrence's home to convince him to return to the Beacon Hotel with himself, Hand, and another woman who did not allege any wrongdoing.
McGregor described their sexual encounter as "enthusiastic, athletic, prolonged and vigorous," noting that she fabricated the allegations after they were done.
The trial was a civil case, with Ireland's Director of Public Prosecutions deciding not to criminally charge Lawrence for sexual assault after police investigated Hand's allegations.

On getting to the hotel later in the evening, McGregor allegedly invited Hand to the bedroom and tried to initiate a sexual encounter.
The Blast gathered that the woman refused, claiming she was on her period, but the MMA fighter still proceeded to pin her down on the bed. Hand's attorney expressed to the jury during the trial:
"She will tell you that she was nervous, that she tried to push him off her, but she was completely unable to do so."
He noted that visual evidence shows images of "her hands and wrists, which are black and blue. You will see that her left breast has a bloodied scratch."
The attorney affirmed that McGregor's brutal assault continued when he flipped the victim over on the bed and put her arms in a lock. He reportedly choked her up by the neck until she could not breathe properly and surrendered to his force.

The victim's attorney disclosed that Lawrence took over from McGregor to unleash more "violent and vicious assault," but Hand could not recollect the encounter between herself and the boxer's friend.
She then paid a visit to her mother, who alerted emergency services about what had happened, after which the victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The lawyer claimed she was visibly shaking and in pain during the transfer, arguing that: "In the face of this, Mr. McGregor will tell you that this was a consensual encounter, that they were just having fun and a bit of rough sex. That's his answer."
Hand's attorney convinced the jury not to be fooled by the MMA fighter's claim and stated that McGregor was subtly implying that Hand permitted him to carry out a brutal assault on her body with his rhetoric about consent.
Conor McGregor Attacked A Miami Heat's Mascot During An On-Court Interview Last Year
The athlete seemingly exerted an excessive level of force on a harmless Miami Heat mascot during an appearance at Game 4 in June. The Blast reported that the athlete disclosed at the event that his TIDL Sport cooling pain relief spray had become an official sponsor of the Miami franchise.
He was then approached by the team's mascot who challenged him to a playful brawl, but things took a shocking turn as he landed a left hook to the mascot's head, causing him to lose balance.
Although scripted, McGregor's aggressive display towards the mascot did impress the crowd, resulting in further boos echoing throughout the arena. As the mascot was escorted off the court, McGregor threw another punch and sprayed him with his pain relief spray in a PR move.
Unfortunately, the punches caused the mascot to fall, leading to the person inside the suit requiring medical attention. The mascot was subsequently taken to a nearby emergency room, administered pain medication, and later discharged.
