Jonathan Majors has another reason to celebrate. The former Marvel star, who recently announced his engagement to girlfriend Meagan Good, is no longer facing a defamation and assault lawsuit filed earlier this year by his ex, Grace Jabbari.

Jabbari has officially dropped the suit, though it's unclear whether an agreement was reached between the two parties.

What is certain is that the case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled against Jonathan Majors.

Majors is now free of his legal battle with his ex-girlfriend, Jabbari, who filed a defamation lawsuit against him in March.

Legal docs obtained by TMZ showed that Jabbari had voluntarily filed to dismiss her suit against the 35-year-old "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" star.

The docs also revealed that Jabbari's claims against her former boyfriend were dismissed with "prejudice."

This means that if Jabbari changes her mind in the future, she cannot refile the claims against Majors.

It remains unclear whether the duo reached an out-of-court agreement that influenced her decision.

Meanwhile, both Jabbari and Majors are yet to publicly address the suit dismissal.

In her now-dismissed lawsuit, Jabbari accused Majors of subjecting her to escalating incidents of physical and verbal abuse between 2021 and 2023.

One of the incidents referenced in the suit claimed that Majors had physically abused Jabbari for inviting a friend to their residence.

"Majors picked Grace up in the air and threw her against the hood of her car," the suit read," per CBS. "Grace began shouting for help. Majors then forcefully grabbed Grace, placing her in a headlock, and put his hand over her mouth to prevent someone from hearing her cries for help."

During the altercation, Majors reportedly placed his hands around Jabbari's neck and told her he wanted to kill her.

He allegedly struck her head multiple times against a marble floor while "strangling her to the point where she felt she could no longer breathe."

After the incident, Jabbari reportedly chose not to seek medical attention, claiming that Majors attempted to guilt-trip her by expressing concerns about his career. He also allegedly threatened to harm himself if she refused to listen to him.

Following the lawsuit's dismissal, social media users have offered varying reactions on the matter.

Some claimed that it proved that Majors wasn't guilty of the accusations Jabbari made against him.

One user commented, "So the plot twists again… Grace Jabbari drops the lawsuit, but the damage to Majors' name? Already done. Funny how accusations make headlines, but dismissals barely get a whisper."

However, some other online users noted that the dismissal changed nothing, as Majors was previously found guilty of similar charges in a suit filed by the state.

"Majors was STILL found guilty in a NYC court. The defamation case was dismissed with prejudice, likely because they settled out of court," remarked a concerned individual.

Another netizen commented, "Jabbari has dropped the civil lawsuit, but the criminal conviction for assault still stands."

One more person wrote, "Reminder that a lot of victims of abuse cancel their lawsuits !!! IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE ABUSE DID NOT HAPPEN !!!"

Prior to Jabbari's suit, Majors was found guilty of one misdemeanor assault charge and one harassment violation in relation to a separate suit filed by state prosecutors in New York.

There was no jail time in the judgment, but the actor was required to participate in 52 weeks of therapy for domestic violence programming.

The actor also suffered the loss of many projects, including his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel franchise.

He has since been on a path to redeem his career and is set to play a lead role in Martin Villeneuve's upcoming horror film, "Merciless."
